Republicans gonna lose mad state legislatures.

Ya’ll can say What you want but the most wicked shyt the republicans did cutting Medicaid, and food stamps don’t kick in until 2026. People are already sick of them and the real pain hasn’t kicked in. That is why so many of them in congress aren’t even going to waste their money and put their lives at risk campaigning in 2026.

Dont get me started on the bad economy due to stagflation and the trickle down effect cuts to medicaid will have on medicare. Republicans are fukked until 2032, maybe 2036…. fukk around 2040.

You're proving my point. The soft on crime shyt died years ago, democrats returned to their normal stances on crime and guess what happened. Crime declined and nobody cared. Instead people blindly say shyt like "xyz is not safe" and it's accepted as fact.

Nah people care that crime has declined and republicans can't use this rhetoric anymore because of these cities have massively increased their police departments and budgets.

People are smart enough to understand crime will never be zero but the days of 17 years committed attempted murder and grand theft auto and only getting 2 years of jail because they are charged as a juvenile is over and people feel that.

Perception is reality. Social media, crime apps, and the news being a regurgitation of social media trends create a bigger sense of unease and what could happen.

Can’t ignore it. This is the current reality.
This is true but people also feel increased police budgets and presence, more bond rejections, better sentencing and charging teens that commit serous crimes as adults.

All the cities with major crime problems have done these things and they have contributed to the crime drop.

I'm not sure on the bolded, the democrats aren't really good at playing partisan politicans which is why republicans generally have a opening every four years. They allow republicans to claim and disregard things depending on if its beneficial. Look at the infrastructure bill and how democrats allowed them to claim it as a major success after voting it down lol

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American people. A country that would vote in Donald Trump twice cannot be relied on to make sensible electoral decisions.

All we can say about them right now is that they hate incumbents. So even if a Dem wins in 2028, who knows what they will be willing to vote for next?

Dems spoke up about no Republicans voting for the infrastructure bill, I specifically remember Biden (among others) speaking about it. Dems have been talking for years about how Repubs dont vote for bills, then show up at the medal cutting ceremonies diddy bopping. This goes back to at least the Recovery Act passed under Obama.

Everything cannot be the fault of Dems, at some point the ignorance of the American people has to be scrutinized as well.

We live in a country where some adults pride themselves on paying zero attention to the news, all the blame cannot go to the politicians if the electorate is willfully ignorant, and proud of it.

Well when you put things like " brought to you by the bipartisan infrastructure bill" on signage why would the american public not believe republicans? You can't expect the public to be 100% informed on all policy decisions and bills 24-7, that's the parties job to inform them like the republicans do

But they can still use the rhetoric. The president uses it all the time! People on this forum do too, perhaps most prominently that Indian retard who is currently banned. You'd think NY and CHI are warzones based on how right wing media portrays them. The point is that this remains effective political messaging because safer cities don't earn democrat politicians any credit or praise from voters. And our legacy media constantly decides to channel right wing FUD for fear of being accused of bias.

Yet the voters never have crime high on their priority list - it's moreso something that becomes a potent talking point when the economy is bad. Like a lot of shyt (including trans issues): nobody cares when gas is low and the economy is booming. When people are struggling it becomes a topic.

Like the lions. Nobody cares when Brad Holmes is penny pinching, until you start missing the playoffs and letting the bears led by a guy that paints his nails win the division :troll:

Agreed. When Obama enacted all types of infrastructure projects via the stimulus, people complained he didn't do enough to tell Americans "this is being built because of my bill." Well Biden became president, went around the country saying "this is being built because of my bill" AND had advertising pumped out about it and guess what. The same people who complained about Obama not doing enough to promote accomplishments complained about Biden not doing enough to promote accomplishments.

Point being, this is not a good faith argument. It's a game people will never allow dems to win.

Biden's advertisement for the bill at least where I was/am in NYS and Florida was " a bipartisanship infrastructure bill" on the signage which gives republicans credit for the bill

they will always play the hits but that rhetoric use to come with talking points about dems decreasing the police budget and not prosecuting crime. Those additional talking points can't be used now because Dems have actually greatly expanded police budgets do to the covid crime surge.

and local elections are where crime shows up as the top priority. not federal elections.

The online far left also has to understand that a large segment of voters primary interest is preserving whiteness so they will vote for republicans no matter how much "good" the dems do.

That’s why I said basically the next dem president has to make construction workers wear hats saying “this job was given to me by President Newsom (:troll:) and the Dems” for people to get it.
