That was one issue I mentioned out of several. Believe it or not there are folks out there who are like "how hard can I party during all star break when kids are being raped and killed according to the Epstein Files." I also forget to mention all the bars and restaurants that have closed down in the last couple of years here in LA. Breh were in some different strange times right now. For a lot of folks the All Star Game is the last thing on their minds. This shyt has no hype or buzz whatsoever.Not the fukking Epstein files as you said

I've been here for all of 8 hours and I can co-sign what @pete clemenza is saying.
Remember when fans who had no intentions of going to all-star weekend would complain about the game being in Utah or Indiana or wherever and I'd tell y'all LA is low key a trash ass place for ASW? Even for my low expectations this is bad and tomorrow is gonna be a horror show. NBA All-Star Weekend is like if you go to a relative's wedding and every meaningful important moment in your mind is getting in the way of your opportunity to drink.
I'm not blaming the rising stars and coaches though. They did what they were supposed to do. Everyone just feels jaded, like there was no real appetite for this weekend.

It's gonna be wild how the most anticipated event of the evening tomorrow besides the 3 point contest will be Adam Silver's press conference. First dude who's like "when is the NBA coming to India or Australia or wherever" is gonna get dirty looks.

Its not even about the arena. Nobody is hyped on this All Star Weekend period! Even in LA. Yeah there's parties and lot of afternoon functions happening, but this ain't ya father's NBA All Star Weekend at all. Since Covid, the economy tanking, mass layoffs, ICE, Epstein File f*ckery, etc., This All Star Weekend thread is even dead. This all star is sh*t is ho-hum asf
