The other players will fall in line. But east vs. west with a climatic 4th quarter is where it's at.

Two USA teams, and One the World team in this format didn't make sense.
The teams all play each other (like a regular season) and then the top 2 teams advance to the championship game.
What's hard to understand about it?

HAD THE SAME RECORD
IF THE WORLD WON THAT 3RD GAME.
IF YOU BEAT BOTH TEAMS
WITHOUT TAKING A LOSS
YOU SHOULD BE CROWNED THE
WINNER AT THAT POINT.
ONE TEAM, AN OLD TEAM
AT THAT HAVING TO PLAY 3 GAMES
IN A ROW AND WIN ALL 3
IS CRAZY.
THEY WERE LITERALLY THE ONLY TEAM
WHO WON CONSECUTIVE GAMES PERIOD

Norman Powell also got added to that team. shyt, I’m pretty sure the only reason Siakam was an All Star, despite being on a last place team, is so the World could have enough players.

I think it's clear it's not the format, but it's the player's drive. Once somebody sets the tone, then they start giving a damn. They just need to go back to East vs West and hope somebody sets the tone early. I don't think we need any gimmicks to create an exciting game.

They could have lost 1 of them and still made the championship.
They should have paced themselves better knowing the format.
It was basically the same shyt as last year, but it wasn’t officially a USA vs World. Barkley drafted international players. Shaq drafted the OGs. Kenny drafted the young guns. The main difference is last year wasn’t billed as such, and last year had a target score of 40. Last year was only 3 games as well.
