My bad doc riversFired midseason after losing the team both times (unless were counting that glorified babysitter job with the post Lebron Cavs
>>>>>>
Fired after winning Season (with Detroit) and one injury plagued season after 3 straight winning seasons with Indiana. Son ds like someone wasn't liked
Stopped reading after Rondo played for Byron Scott.... Either your an invalid or we all look the same to you Cac![]()
Winning a title and having to lead a team past kobe kd westbrook lebron wade and vhris bosh > not winning a title
U can make the same case for rondo...That title had more to do with Getting hot at the right time coupled with LeBrons still not getting over his spotlight jitters, but for sake of not sounding like you (a hater) I'll give him his credit
Sidenote: Why hasn't he came even remotely close to replicating that success![]()
Never Clashed with Doc nor Karl... Stop with your fascination of that sickly lookin Carlisle. Nobody respects himMy bad doc rivers
Point still made
Two coaches both winning championships and rondo clashes with both...so you take rondo side against carlise what about with doc?
Artest got busy on james harden in a playoff game with phil as coachNever Clashed with Doc nor Karl... Stop with your fascination of that sickly lookin Carlisle. Nobody respects him
Q) Do you think with Phil Jackson, Larry Brown or even a Doc Rivers: Artest, Jackson, and O'Neal would've got busy like they did at the Palace![]()
That was grammatically terrible, maybe all the years of watching men in underwear wrestling each others sweaty bodies has fried your brain:U can make the same case for rondo...
Superior talent in the west is the easy answer and maybe the answer wa sadding rajon to a team that had the number 1 offense last year in an attempt to bolster then defense and offense
Rondo tk me is a good stats on a bad team guy
Yeah hes won a title as the pg on a team with three first ballot hall of famers and a great cosch in an organization with the most titles on the league and hes not a bad pg but i dont feel like his triple doubles and states make teams he plays on as the 1st or 2nd best player in to playoff teams
Not entirely his faultbut hes not a top five pg to me or a game defining player when hes the 1st or 2nd option
His "ascension" was apparently 4 years ago and a rick carlise coached team beat that very same heat team that u hype rondo's performance up against...correct?That was grammatically terrible, maybe all the years of watching men in underwear wrestling each others sweaty bodies has fried your brain:
Rondo has taken his team to a Finals game 7 as the best player on the team (if anybody on that team could've rebounded, he had a Finals MVP with his name on it) He was also up 3-2 in the conference finals (as the best player) against the LeBron Miami team. To deny his ascension is... let me put it in your words... would be denying CM Punk's impoverished mic skills![]()
Basketball fights have been apart of the game since it's integration (Rudy TomjanavicArtest got busy on james harden in a playoff game with phil as coach
Larry brown is the worst example of a head coach who alienated players
And did doc fight kevin johnson
Also larry brown coached the very ben wallace who shoved ron artest to start that entire chain of events at the palace
Back on topic...why do u side woth rondo? Do u believe rondo can be the first or 2nd option on a playoff team or even the 2nd best player on a playoff team at this point?
Thats why j say maybe a utah jazz team built around an elite defense and a few spotty but capable shooteds could i see his style workBasketball fights have been apart of the game since it's integration (Rudy Tomjanavic) Entering the crowd to fight the Cacs who essentially pay your salary was new precedence, but ultimately was a sign he had no connection with/control of his players. As quick as LB is to leave a team, no one would pull that Bs on him.
But to the topic... Best is subjective, but with a coach who buys into his ball dominating/facilitating style of ball that has rendered the success it has, Yes (provided he has shooters and a somewhat defensive minded team around him)
Granted, but with some of the right pieces around they could be 2-3 years away. His "ascension" was apparently 4 years ago and a rick carlise coached team beat that very same heat team that u hype rondo's performance up against...correct?
Point being...rondo has had a lot of good games and great performances but him and derrick rose to me arent cut out to be the defacto number 1 guy for a team trying to win a championship or even make a splash in the playoffs
Maybe they are solid number 2s on playoff teams and they can have flashes of greatness every now and then but they both to me have one foot in the deron williams box and a few toes still left in that elite pg box
Rondo on a team like maybe the jazz or something where he can be the guy leading the offense but in reality be the third or fourth best guy behind hayward/gobert/favors to me works plus his defense isnt awful
But him being the 2nd in command alongside a boogie cousins who also clashed with cosches and management seems to be a bad recipe
Thats why j say maybe a utah jazz team built around an elite defense and a few spotty but capable shooteds could i see his style work
Idk about this kings team...i just feel like rondo is trying to get atats up in a contract year and cash out on some team besting he gives u 4 years of this when it looks like to me his run so far is an anomaly
Because he did it as u said 4 or so years ago and last year he basically quit on his teamBased on what![]()
Because he did it as u said 4 or so years ago and last year he basically quit on his team
Hes having a solid begining to a season but hes had solid seasons that led to no playoffs or lack of playoff success since then.
He gets in constant beef with authority from high school to last year and he will get in a feud wirh karl soon enough
