That title had more to do with Getting hot at the right time coupled with LeBrons still not getting over his spotlight jitters, but for sake of not sounding like you (a hater) I'll give him his credit

U can make the same case for rondo...

Superior talent in the west is the easy answer and maybe the answer wa sadding rajon to a team that had the number 1 offense last year in an attempt to bolster then defense and offense

Rondo tk me is a good stats on a bad team guy

Yeah hes won a title as the pg on a team with three first ballot hall of famers and a great cosch in an organization with the most titles on the league and hes not a bad pg but i dont feel like his triple doubles and states make teams he plays on as the 1st or 2nd best player in to playoff teams

Not entirely his faultbut hes not a top five pg to me or a game defining player when hes the 1st or 2nd option

His "ascension" was apparently 4 years ago and a rick carlise coached team beat that very same heat team that u hype rondo's performance up against...correct?

Point being...rondo has had a lot of good games and great performances but him and derrick rose to me arent cut out to be the defacto number 1 guy for a team trying to win a championship or even make a splash in the playoffs

Maybe they are solid number 2s on playoff teams and they can have flashes of greatness every now and then but they both to me have one foot in the deron williams box and a few toes still left in that elite pg box

Rondo on a team like maybe the jazz or something where he can be the guy leading the offense but in reality be the third or fourth best guy behind hayward/gobert/favors to me works plus his defense isnt awful

But him being the 2nd in command alongside a boogie cousins who also clashed with cosches and management seems to be a bad recipe

As quick as LB is to leave a team, no one would pull that Bs on him.

Granted, but with some of the right pieces around they could be 2-3 years away.

Sidenote, the whole gripe with coaches from any player is over at ed and only magnified with losing teams/players.. Behind the scenes, everyone does it, but

Losing team= Player villified/potentially traded


Winning Team= Coach's hold on the team is questioned/management often sides with player

Hes having a solid begining to a season but hes had solid seasons that led to no playoffs or lack of playoff success since then.

He gets in constant beef with authority from high school to last year and he will get in a feud wirh karl soon enough

But 3 years ago he tore his acl... He wasn't even himself till midway last year... Shortly after he was traded, and had a chemistry clash with Carlisle so I would say the Verdict is still out
