No. Dominant players completely take over games on a regular basis with their tremendous influence on one (or both) ends of the court. Rondo has never been on that level. His offensive impact is highly overrated and he's never been some extreme impact defender at the PG position ala J Kidd.

Dominant players are usually up for consideration for top five in the game. Rajon has never been that.

Actually when u have greats like magic and and shaq saying that the best pg in the league is Rondo then.....

Rondo has never been better than Chris Paul and this isn't a close comparison. Shaq & Magic arent very good basketball analysts for today's game, especially the former who's as biased as they come.

His first efficient scoring game of the month. Like it's been said, he's played 40+ minutes for the last four games. With the way he dominates the ball, a statline like that isn't surprising. Plus not to mention it was against arguably the worst team in the league. Nothing to see here.

Do you honestly believe Rondo was better than or remotely close to KG on that championship squad. The main reason the Celtics were able to have such a successful season is because their defense was historically great, and Garnett led that charge not Rajon Rondo. He was also the 4th best offensive player on that roster and replacing him with a PG that could actually shoot worth a damn would've resulted in offense far better than 10th overall. Put Chris Paul on that team and they threaten the '96 Bulls for best record in league history. They could've won a title with Mike Conley on that team in replace of Rondo.

That Chris Paul narrative is overplayed, he's been a good postseason performer as a whole and his best far surpasses what Rondo has accomplished on that stage. If he got to play with the big three I'm pretty damn sure he'd have a championship right now if not two. The "playoff Rondo" thing is overstated as well, he doesn't belong in the conversation with actual dominant postseason players like Dirk, Kobe, LeBron, Wade & Duncan.

Paul for his career averages 20.9 & 9.5 on great efficiency in the postseason. Not sure how that's not performing well, and Rajon has never had a run better than Paul in the '08 PS.

I'm not sure what that has to do with anything. You win and lose in this league as a team, Paul has a title if he gets to play on those Celtics squads. Playing in the East would help matters as well.
