Its def a societal things because growing up in Kenya everything you've described is the norm in terms or disciplining, we used to get kicked by our teachers and shyt and even then we were like "this could be worse" because we had seen worse happen to other people. I've seen kids have to hold chairs over their heads and get on their knees and walk over gravel stones back and forth because they skipped class and even then they were like "this shyt could be worse"

The posters in this thread who never got ass whoopings, couldn't be my brother or sister. Whenever I got into trouble, my dad was like an army vet when it was time to whoop my ass. He'd never explain to me how he was going to was going to do it. He used to just grab his belt with a smile on his face like,and say, you now you messed up right, and would proceed to put that work on my ass. My mom never whooped me since I am the only child, since I'm a mama's boy. But that shyt didn't work with my dad.
