Whats 4 to 6 hours on top of the 12-14 already gone? The walking is temporary until I stack enough to get me a car. Why are yall ignoring that? How often do yall walk Im curious. 3 hours walking isnt alot.
Up until this past September, from 20 when I had my first job to 28 I walked for a living, between 2 stretches at Amazon and 3 restaurants, minus about 18 months when I was in a funk and wasn't doing shyt. After the quarantine spring/summer of 2020 I was able to track my walking because I put on weight and was interested in how efficient I could be in getting it off. From September 2020 to September 2021 I was walking anywhere from 40-60 miles a week just working.

Nonetheless, I was not walking 3 hours one way just to get there. 35~ minutes to the warehouse, 15, 45, and 25 minutes driving to each serving job.

I'm currently working a job where I operate a machine all day but I have to be present for 15 hours a day plus 25-30 minute 1-way commute. If I wasn't tripling my income now and quin/sextupling it 6 years from now I'd give it back to have a life.

You're talking walking 6 hours to work for 12-14. This means days of having an average of 5 hours off the clock. You will be over it by June.

Your time is paramount. You keep saying your mind is made up or to not "make it about you", then you really shouldn't have made the thread. If you're really in a position of HAVING to accept a job now, I hope your made-up mind isn't on Option 1. Option 2 is the answer.

if its not an option to get a vehicle immediately, i'd go with the 2nd job with the ability to take a bus to it. but if it was situation being forced to walk 2-3 hours daily, might have to look into getting a bicycle (with a comfortable seat) instead of just walking. you would be surprised how that will lower the commute. walking is good exercise but doing that long of a walk daily and still having to work will be stressful on your legs, body and back.

definitely either way, lock in a budget get to saving up. then probably buy a reliable whip for a couple thousand cash and then you can start looking at the other job or higher paying ones with a commute.

Get two minimum wage jobs that are down the street from you. Work 40 hours at one, part time at that other. Over the next 8 months save money for a used car. After you purchase a car look for a full time job that pays more than $18 an hour so you only have to work one job, and when you have that job enroll in some online courses. You need to get certifications, a degree, or a trade.
