Blaming the nikka who fled the scene is the obvious thing. I thought it was obvious that he was the target. Police investigating after mother is shot, killed in Miami

MIAMI (WSVN) -- Authorities are investigating after a mother of four was gunned down in Miami.

The shooting occurred at around 1 a.m. Wednesday. The woman's body was found near her sport utility vehicle in the area of North Miami Avenue and Northeast 15th Street.

"I just heard a whole bunch of shots and I just saw somebody running away from, I guess, what was a dead body lying in the street right now," said Ricardo Deleoa.

Deleoa said he heard the gunfire and saw the shooter running from the scene.

"Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, non-stop, like one behind the other. It wouldn't stop," he said. "He passed by a whole bunch of security guards with a gun open and I guess they didn't want to chase him, because they felt the danger."

The woman's license plate led police to her home, where they found four children, ages ranging from 18 months to 9 years old, home alone. Those four children are now staying with relatives.

Authorities are searching for the gunman and are trying to determine a motive for the fatal shooting.
