You know how many people are starting over or haven’t figured it out these days
Yes I do. How many are too stubborn to admit failure or ask for guidance? Tripping and falling is not a bad thing. The actions that are taken after are and unfortunately alot of people hang it up or make that heel turn

Most black people are already boostsrap capitalists. Even “Liberal” DNC negros and brunchers. Telling black ppl to “stop blaming white men” and “take responsibility” is like telling an Ant Eater that it needs to eat ants. Saying “stop blaming white people” sounds like some virtue signaling to said white ppl.

“Ya know, that Farrakhan feller ain’t half bad!!”

How many black people do y’all know personally who are just flat out bums, murderers, vagrants, vagabonds, and heathens and just flat out blame “the white man” for their behavior? If anything, some of these types blame black women for their pathology more than “the white man”. :mjlol:

Maybe there was more nuance to Mr. Farrakhans statement that I didn’t see.

Of course there's nuance missing, even from that short clip, let alone for people who just read the thread title and rushed in to comment.

It ain't really about "bootstraps' or any of that political jargon. This is why I said avoid group think and trying to figure out how everything applies to this or that race, you can boil it down to who you are as an individual.

I have had a HARD fukkin life. I have been presented with some challenges and hurdles from how I was raised, the environment I grew up in on top of just being a black man in america. But at the end of the day, pointing the finger at my 'parents', my neighborhood, white folks, black women and whoever else I can look around and see as the source of my pain and frustration was never going to get me over those obstacles. I had to make a fukking choice to take my attention off that shyt and move forward.

That's all he was really saying.

If you been through hardship...validate your feelings, yes. But none of the people you can look around to blame for your hardships, ESPECIALLY CACS are ever going to be the ones who empower you to change and improve your life, you're going to have to do that for yourself.

I have two degrees and can travel anywhere on the planet at a whim, pay all my bills buy a car etc if I’d like due to all the money I’ve saved. So now what?

Him and anyone who agrees with him can fukk off because there are way too many of our brothers and sisters that have been trapped in a cycle cause by white men and outside forces.

I won’t abandon my people or dismiss them because of what he or anyone else thinks. Funny to see all the militants in here just act like it’s squarely on our people to break said cycle and ignore those outside forces are still to this day destroying their lives. Bootstrap babble can die along with anyone who agrees with that nonsense :camby:

The white man, the mother and father you may or may not have had, the people who hurt you are NOT coming through that door to course correct your life for you...that's all he's saying.

Where did he mention 'bootstraps' or to dismiss your people because you got money or an education? The bulk of the people in here with negative comments seem to be jumping right to those talking points when that's not what he was getting at.

Telling a black man who is confused and having a hard time that it is within his capability to master his own destiny despite those factors isn't a dismissal,

Thread title specifically mentioned the white man, as if there is a mass of Black ppl use them as a crutch for not doing anything

It didn't mention anything about mothers, fathers, or family trauma

I've actually heard c00ns say "as a Black man, you have an excuse to do some messed up stuff because the white man has put you in such a position"

I'm damn near 45 yrs old. If I fukk up, I gotta take accountability for that shyt. That's what being a strong Black man is. Ain't no way I'm gonna sit here and let some barriers some white man implement, stop me from doin' what I gotta do. If you do, stop calling yourself a strong Black man.

I don't think them or their women are "supreme" like most of you coli c00ns do.

That's why you actually watch the fukking video before you respond with outright dismissals and name calling...

While you can't 100% avoid jumping out the window every time, I think we are all aware that people will highlight the most provcative parts of videos/articles for the headlines and thread titles.

It's much easier to tell black people how and what they should feel like, instead of actually trying to put in the effort to change things.

bytch ass cacs and other non black people blame black people for damn near everything, but none of that shyt gets mentioned, nor none of them pussies ever get told to "stop blaming black people" :scust:

You are not the master of your destiny, most of your life has been decided for you before you were already born. If you were born in a poor or destabilized community/nation you're less likely to be successful. If you're born to a dysfunctional or poor family you are less likely to be successful. Some people succeed in spite of these odds, doesn't mean that people can bootstrap their way out of a bad situation. The problem is successful people love to discredit all the blessings they had to portray this image that "they got it out the mud." Don't get me wrong a lot of successful people worked hard to get where they're at, but luck is always involved. Being born to a caring loving family, even in a disenfranchised community, is luck.
