It's a combination of younger men suffering from increasing economic insecurity, and tinder making it easy for any semi-fukkable girl to fukk men who are out of her league (because, guess what, most guys are not that picky about fukking). An all-too-common story from back in the day, is a dude that was forced to drop out of college, because he was getting too much p*ssy and he flunked out. Or knocking up some random hoe and leaving school to work 3 low wage jobs to take care of his baby.
Nowadays, these dudes are graduating high school, doing STEM, and graduating aka the rigid way of doing things at historically high rates. But coincidentally, testosterone levels are rapidly dropping as formal education takes away other aspects of young men's nature like heightened physical fitness, social skills, and hobbies' development.

@mr. smoke weed @eastside313 fair point, but the study says “since turning 18” so this could just as easily include people that may of had success in their teenage years but had things get worse due to a variety of outside variables when they became adults.

Some random thoughts:
- A few people are blaming the economy like people aren't fukking in the hood, like the clubs closed down, like online dating isn't largely free, so I find it hard to believe that it is a strong contributing factor. Also, people are blaming tinder for allowing women greater access to men, as well as bisexuality. There are also arguments about women making more money and so they don't respect hardworking men with blue collar jobs or other randomness. None of this has to do with getting laid ONCE in your 18-30 years on Earth though...
- Some people mentioned it in the thread, but this idea that you are 'sticking it to women' by not having sex with them reminds me of people who 'make their voices heard' by not voting... the world just excludes you from the decision making process and adjusts based on the wants and needs of those still participating in the system. This type of narrative allows people to think they are taking a stand and showing up the world by engaging in a circle jerk with other virgins/men who secretly wish they had more sex.
- Speaking of circle jerks, there is a lot of misogyny disguised as male comradery. MGTOW, Men's Rights, and many aspects of the PUA community are pretty toxic and lost.... The Coli equivalents include 'our queens yall' or 'GMB', and a lot of this random stuff is loosely veiled hatred towards women disguised as victimization. To me, the best analogy is thinking about how a Trump-supporting police officer who listens to OAN & Fox News all day has unconscious biases that cause them to react more aggressively to African-Americans because he has programmed himself to see things negatively... this is how a lot of guys are around women. They listen to idiots like Kevin Samuels or Tariq Nasheed or guys that have to book a flight to a 3rd World Country to get laid and then bring that baggage to their interactions with the opposite sex. They are looking for an excuse to validate their distrust for women and often unconsciously create them. They encounter slight resistance from women, perceive it in a toxic way and lash out, which dooms them to be on the sideline jerking off.
- Pareto's rule applies here imo. 20% of the dudes are fukking 80% of the girls which is why the women's # remains static.
Lastly, not to sound like those old dudes that judge the younger generation, but nobody wants to put in the work or are committed to the effort it takes to get good. People see someone moving and knocking down women and assume they were born with an advantage because they are tall/rich/handsome/mixed/etc, when in reality, it takes hundreds (thousands?) of rejections, tons of times getting ghosted, getting played out by girls acting like they don't hear you when you try to holler at them, girls cursing you out, girls flirting with you and leaving with another guy, girls giving you fake numbers, girls standing you up on dates, girls using your for food/drinks, etc. Talking to women is a skillset that can last a lifetime, but it aint no overnight skill. You have to accept that it will take a lot of time and you will have to experience hardships, but believe that it's worth it at the end of the day

Obviously there are some alphas who can fukk regardless. But there are a lot of men who have to compensate for their lack of looks/game/appeal with economic status in order to get any consideration.
