Easily possible. Just start fasting. And not that intermittent fasting bullshyt. You need to do PROLONGED FASTING. Build a habit of fasting 72-96 hrs back to back to back. Eat only 1 meal every 3-4 days and you'll melt off all that fat in about 3 months.

165 is my dream weight but it’s hard as hell to lose weight and work a 9 to 5...any suggestions? I need help brehs I can feel the diabetes coming..it runs in my family smh

What?? :what:

Mofo acting like there isnt any other hours in the day to exercise.

What about the weekend??

You have to figure out, how you became that big in the first place.

Write down everything you eat (for a day) for a week.

The next week, eat half as much.
Next week start putting in 30 minutes of exercise, like walking.
Then add more minutes to that the next week after.

It will take time, but you can do it.

You shoulda never got to 285lbs in the first place

If you live in America then its easy to get that fat. We have a problem culturally in this country with our eating habits. Even people who happen to stay slim typically have bad eating habits and thus bad overall health despite not being fat. Very few people in this country eat right and in the right portions. We eat too much and we eat bad unhealthy foods since the bad foods are cheap while good foods are expensive.

IF is not bullshyt.

Intermittent fasting is not effective for people who extremely overweight. Its effective for people who are in relatively good shape and are trying to get leaner and healthier. With that said, even if you are in decent shape intermittent fasting still requires you to calorie and macro count if you want to lose fat cause you're still eating too much. Our bodies did not evolve to eat everyday. We evolved to FEAST then FAST. When you look at modern day hunter-gatherers (which is how our ancestors used to live) they typically go several days without eating. They hunt and when they get a kill they feast eating a ton of calories in one sitting. Then they go for a few days after that without any food. Then they get another kill and refeed. This cycle of FEASTING and FASTING is how our bodies evolved.

48 hour fasts are the best for almost everybody. Unless you are a high performance athlete who expends incredible amounts of energy while training you should not be eating everyday. For optimal health you should try to fast every 48 hours while throwing in a 72-96 hour fast every couple of weeks for added health benefits.

Not only is it possible, the solution is simple: stop eating so God damn much!

Create a balanced sub 2000 calorie plan and stick to it. If you feel hungry, ignore it. Indulging your body anymore than you have will kill it. The less you put the better off you'll be.

Daily caloric restriction is actually the worst thing you can do if you want to lose weight. All that will happen if you restrict daily calories is you'll lose a lot of weight early on but then your body will adapt to the reduction in calories by reducing your metabolism and then you'll plateau. Then after plateauing you will lose confidence in the diet and go back to your usual eating habits and gain all that weight right back. This is the cycle of failure that happens to people when they try to diet.

Prolonged fasting is the only way to lose lots of fat quickly without plateauing. When your body is deprived of calories for 36-48 hours something amazing happens. Your body goes into ketosis. Which is just a fancy way of saying your body switches from using the food you eat for energy to the stored fat it has been saving for years because of your overeating for energy. When your body enters ketosis you stop feeling hungry because your body is getting all the calories it needs to operate from your stored fat.

I'm right now in the midst of a 72+ hour fast and I feel great. I just came back from the gym and did an intense workout. I don't feel hungry at all and its been 3 days since I ate my last meal. The reason I don't feel hungry is because my body is in ketosis and is getting all the energy it needs from my stored fat reserves.

Prolonged fasting is actually very easy. You just need to train your body. Just like how if you've never lifted weights and you try to lift you'll be sore as fukk the day after. However, if you keep going to the gym then it'll get easier and you won't be sore anymore.

Most people fear fasting because of how hungry they feel if they miss one meal. They think that if they go 2-3 days without food they will be miserable. In reality the opposite is true. I feel less hungry when I fast than I did when I was eating multiple times a day. It all comes down to training your body to start using its fat reserves as fuel instead of only relying on the food you eat everyday as fuel. When you fast 3-4 days for the first time IT WILL BE MISERABLE. But that's normal cause your body hasn't been taught it can use stored fat as fuel for decades cause we eat so often all the time. However, after you complete that first fast it will get easier. Your body will have adapted to the fact you are no longer putting food into it everyday and will quickly move to using the stored fat as fuel thus making you not hungry anymore.

I've been doing back to back 72 hour fasts for 2 weeks now and I feel great. In fact I feel so great I'm trying to see if I can do a 7 day fast without any food right now. I'm 3 days in and not feeling hungry at all. That's because my body has adapted to the lack of food intake and is using my stored fat as fuel to keep me going through the day. I actually feel more energy now that I'm fasting regularly than I did eating everyday. Also in addition to the fat loss fasting has incredible health benefits. For one its reverses the aging process. My skin has never looked better than it does now. I've also been getting compliments from people saying how much younger I look. And this is from just 2 weeks of fasting.

Fasting is the best thing everyone can do for their health. You'll not only lose weight but you'll look younger and feel better.

:comeon:

You think cutting carbs AND fasting between 24-72 hours is more sustainable for a nutritionally undisciplined person? Shortcut to failure right there.

If anything, let the man sort out his diet, and learn to eat in a caloric deficit first. That plateau is a long ways out, but if, or when he reaches it, then he can fukk around with ketosis/IF. He should have the confidence and discipline by that point to will himself through it.
