Not everybody has the time or money for college or getting IT certifications. If a man is struggling with no other options, yes he should work those hours to get ahead and get on his feet. Y'all criticizing him about the hours and him breaking his back without even knowing the full story.

To look down on ole boy and talk about bad him working those hours is pure ignorance. We don't know his situation at all.

You criticizing him is why I rightfully negged you.

I haven't criticized him...but you're taking it that way. Why?

But you did.

You brought up the long hours. That's obviously criticizing in that it's not efficient and talking about ask him if it was worth it in 10 years

Breh might be a retired millionaire in 10 years:russ:Nobody can't say anything about his situation because we don't know his situation. A lot of people have gotten rich with that work ethic, I wouldn't be surprised if he did.

Edit: Typed out a big response, but your illogical post told me to turned my phone sideways. Lo and behold, you're negative reputation. Yeah I know not to argue with most red posters

Read it if you want, but this debate is over
I'm not irate at all. You coming up with all types of excuses. What are you doing now? What are most broke folks doing? Not a damn thing. Folks scared to grind a few years to get ahead. Meanwhile this man buying up real estate. His kids ain't gone have to live in the hood and go to trash schools. Kids college already paid for.

People quick to assume he'll be doing this the rest of his life, how do you know that?:jbhmm:
Didn’t read the spoiler u mad?

The cat got so upset he negged me :russ:. It's that serious to him.
He thinks 100k is a lot bro. Any fool can see the gap getting wider. 100k is only a lot if you get lucky and land a 100k/year job at like 22 years old and you stay home for the next 5-8 years. Even then depending on where you live, will determine what it is. The other thing the bro don’t realize is, even with penny pinching, it’s becoming harder to own your home. Also what happens if stocks crash? The only thing going forward of value will be land, property, food, and maybe precious metals.

The dollar is about to be bushed. I wasn’t even trying to be negative, I was just trying to say for the amount of hours put in, breh gon max out his body and the pay is pennies, considering it would take breh 6-7 years of that just to get the family home alone, unless he lives in Wyoming or the Dakotas. He doesn’t even realize the black community has had so many stumbling blocks placed, by the whites and every other race, that gap will not be closed before the collapse.

I didn’t even consider him when I made my response. I pictured a black man in general grinding his life and essence away, while white ppl use every cheat and loophole and then say “work harder , pull yourself up by your boot straps”. It’s a rat race, when there’s more important things anyway. There’s no need to make 100k tbh, if you don’t have a plan, and just wanna say you’re a high earner. If he worked those hours for 255k to match inflation, no one here would’ve said anything. Efficiency is everything. If youre not working YOUR and growing YOUR own food, then working that much for a corporation is just giving them your energy, just to be spit out at 65.

So you're just stupidity assuming he'll be working this same job the next 40 years without knowing anything about him? And you're ignoring that he makes more than whites' medium household income of $76k?

Got ya.

Breh. I just responded to @JLova as his perspective was fitting to the times we live in. As I went through the thread I saw your point as well. You’re right, if he’s a young 20’s brother, then 3 yrs of grinding can set you far ahead. I know bout it. I was just speaking of the corruption of our economy more so than the breh himself. However 90k in 2022 is worth those hours, which I guess was the basis. Why you going so hard? :russell:.

Of course they didn't. My baby brother works for the postal service and makes a little under than in the poorest county in NC. My father gave him and my middle brother his old house and he's stacking after I set him down and showed him how to invest over half his income. Dude will be retired before he hits 35 if he chooses to do so. I don't think their combined expenses between the both of them amount to more than $1k a month. The most expensive thing my baby brother owns is a gaming chair. I clown him, but that MFing chair is souped to the gills. It reclines, has a food rest, has speakers built in, a tray to hold his food and drinks, and has a heated massage setting. I'm was like, "Really bruh?" when I first saw it.
There are a million ways to make good money like dude without having a job as physical as mail carrier. Again, I’m not knocking it, I actually respect the hustle. But you nikkas harping on who made what in 2021 are missing the point.

Pretty soon I’ll be getting paid handsomely to travel and I’m not talking about the neighborhood, I’m talking all around the country. Y’all nikkas too narrow minded to accept that there are other routes.

As an older breh who has worked hours like that, it's been said already that it takes a toll on your body. I would hear this when younger and didn't understand or believe it, but it's 100% REAL. Your body will break down and you'll have all types of health problems.

I'm really happy for my bro because it got him out the streets and the bennies and pay are good for his family, but I really wonder how much of a toll it's gonna take on him eventually. He said most of the dudes he works with are alkies.
My lumbar spine is trash now
Have arthritis in my back
Also have bouts of carpal tunnel syndrome from fingering the mail for 12 years
Insomniac (but I was like that before the post office)
Knees are trash
I started back in 08 and at the time it was gravy then for about two years straight
I was doing splits everyday(I was an RCA)
Then I went regular and had a pretty easy route until Amazon kick the doors down
That shyt is killing everybody at the post office
The amount of consumption people do
Not to mention the bullshyt managers like to pull
And the constant whining from entitled customers
I know a couple of City Carriers (Regulars) that have pulled 100k and upwards the past 3 years due to COVID but their home lives are trash
nikkas getting divorced but start fukking the young dummies at the office
Had a clerk friend of mine die of cancer
Never told anybody
Had my own scare
These jobs are great for getting your paper up in a quick time but you have to transition out of it
No human can work 7 days straight(sometimes 14)
It’s impossible but people do it
Some get addicted to the penalty time
Others have no life after family leaves due to the hours
The PO is not for the faint of heart and thecoli damn sure ain’t built for it(I know it’s other carriers on this forum tho:salute:
Now if you can find that unicorn/gravy office
Where the supervisors actually care and the people are treated fairly
It’s easy peasy but trying to find those offices:francis:
Ups brethren cake too but some of the stories I’ve heard from my brethren:picard::francis:
FedEx be trippin trippin as well

The thing is he's working 72 flipping hours a week!
