Well, it has been a year. No one say anything when Jay dropped every year around the same time (not saying 2 Chainz is anywhere near Jay, but I'm just saying) Some rappers are not going to be mainstays in the game and 2 Chainz is just another one. I don't see him completely disappearing though for awhile.

nikkas fail to realize, it's not always about how hard you try to put out good music on your album. You've GOT to gague the climate, time it right, know who to collab with & who not to, be bold, and be humble enough to push your shyt back when Jay & other major players are releasing & they have more dedicated fanbases, for better reasons than you.

Yep. Never drop in the holiday season when everyone is dropping and never drop when other established artists are dropping. 2 Chainz knows that his career, and swag/ party rap, will take a backseat to lyrical records now. His career is on the ropes because of the flop.

Last year, nikkas were clowning on Nas cause 2 Chainz outsold him. Now, 2 Chainz sophomore slump did worse than any Nas album to date.

Timing is everything, you're right. If your shyt is popping, there is no need to have a 1st level presence in the game 24/7/365... nikkas will wait for you

I also think nikkas do too many mixtapes... maybe they have to.... but dudes like Kendrick, Drake, Jay, they dont do mixtapes anymore... because u know the albums will be quality

For all my snapping on Drake and Jay... they are able to deliver a product that people are willing to wait and pay for. Im not sure its because of the music as much as marketing, but in either case nikkas like 2 Chainz should be following their lead. This nikka Jay will go for years without dropping a disc.... so by the time he's ready to drop nikkas are hungry and the moment is right
