So most of you guys have no patients for the new controls? I can understand, I was feeling the same way, but I just kept at it by doing the same moves over and over again I until I learned them and moved on to another set of moves. The hardest part is the Modifier which is so in grained in your psyche.
Tip: Lower your Def. Assist in the controller settings so you can move faster and get to spots on defense, it is defaulted at 50 if you higher you move slower, if you go lower you move faster. Figure out your comfort range.
good heads up on that defensive asst. i dont need that anyway. other lazy ballers do.
i know just keep on doing it and eventually it will stick. usually i dont cry about controls. but i see 2k making the same mistake every time they change it. they want NBA LIVE from ELITE controls. but they dont know how to do it. its not rocket science. stop allowing the left analog to do anything but move the players legs and turn him around.
for instance if i want to do a spin move i should not do it with the right analog stick. those are my hands.
if the ball is in my right hand, and i have the right analog stick pushed middle/hard right(which is 3 0'clock). then i move it clock wise 180degrees from right side middle to left side middle going downward. then i should do an around the back move. not that tap down for the around the back move. i know its easier to do around the backs like it is now. but now its much more difficult to do a simple cross thru the legs because it sometimes thinks i'm doing the behind the back since those moves are to close to one another on the controls.
if you want to do a spin move and you have the ball in your right hand. you should have to use the LEFT stick to spin from right to left just like above for the around the back but now just with the other stick. this will make your guys spin around while keeping the ball in the right hand. now if you want to cross it over to the other hand mid spin. fine. do that by slight tapping the right stick to the left side, while you're moving the left analog stick around in 180degrees (downward motion).
the nba ELITE controls as far as making it realistic to real life from a control stand point was better then any other game out even today. old lives, old 2k's and current 2k system.
