I don't think it ever mattered to G Rap if he's popular among the mainstream. ALL of his peers look up to him. You can't find anyone that doesn't list him in their top, as a lyricist or influential.

He said the infamousline was about G Rap when it clearly wasn't. You could hear Pac saying "Look at De La Soul" in the background after he said it.
I listened to this earlier and I'm not buying it, the dude has done numerous videos I think with mad factual errors, I'm not holding any significance to anything he says. I'd advise caution cause people can make mistakes and shyt but he's getting a lot of shyt wrong time and time again, so I'd question the authenticity and sincerity at this point.
Someone should ask G Rap about this and get his side... I wouldn't be surprised if he flat out denied this story.
