To him great lyrics are ...

"Flow is tight, SKINNY JEANS SKINNY JEANS"

So anything he says is irrelevant and discounted on that basis alone, not to mention he has Drake in his top 10 and thinks Nas is wack :dead:

:mjlol:Yeah, usually I just neg him and move on but I was curious as to what his definition of a lyricist is to see why Biggie doesn't fit the criteria. Drake being in his top 10 says all you need to know about him. He talks about Nas more than most Nas fans, like a scorned baby mom :scust:

Explain how Biggie/Nas aren't lyricists without referencing those two lines.
neither uses literary devices well or at all. naS sparingly uses imagery, but thats about it. Biggie very sparingly uses wordplay. They are both on the light end of the spectrum. Especially early naS, that nikka could barely write a coherent sentence on illmatic.

G Rap is one of the few rappers that MCs constantly put above Biggie when they talk about their influences or their GOAT type lists.
gonna need receipts on that and even if it is true (which it probably is) ..still doesnt change who became the bigger star and who was and still is known as being one of the greatest even more so than the other. people who list kool g rap over big are like the ones that always put other mcs before pac as well. its because of the fact that they died they dont want to give them more credit than they deserve or something of the like.

Nope its because g rap's use of multis and mafiosi themes were heavily influential to the MCs who grew up in the 80's.

Especially in new York.

While those MCs respected Biggie as a peer, they grew up on/looked up to KGR
