Pac knew who shot him & why shortly after the Quad. He used Big as a scapegoat to the media when he new the truth (but he did that Vibe interview before he found out who had him shot)Pac was mad because BIG didn't look out for him the way he expected. I do get the feeling that BIG did say something along the lines of "You're a rapper, they actually live this. Be careful" as he knew his position but Pac being hardheaded ignored it and that led to the rift but you cannot deny that BIG took a heck of a lot of influence from Pac.
The cadence inspiration with buuuuurthdayys being the wuuuurst daaaays and various other bits like beat selection and topics were so obvious. Said before that BIG without meeting Pac would be a totally different artist but if the script was flipped they never linked Pac would be the same except still living. That is unless he found someone else to beef with which is entirely probable...
The whole situ is wild when you think that R2D dropped on the day Pac actually did. Would have been so dope to see what these two could've cooked up as friends instead of nemesis because they both had immense talent and came at the rap game from totally different angles but with the same intent.
Truly the yin and yang of hiphop as breh said.

Big would've been a GOAT regardless if he met Pac or not; you're Stretch Armstrong reaching with that. Puff was the one steering him into the mainstream & guiding that aspect of his career. Along with Big taking from Heavy D & Big Daddy Kane whom he tried to emulate. Pac did give him game but you're overstating Pac's influence & where it took him
OK, I'll play:
Listen to this:
And contrast it to what followed as BIG went from being the essence of NY MC to a very heavy West Coast influence. 9-3 kicked ad the whole of rap was jocking what was hot at the moment so it is what it is but anyone who says Pac wasn't influential isn't being totally honest. I say this as someone who came up listening to both of them share their talent.
Pac schooled BIG with a lot of his experience and insider tricks about what it takes to make it in rap as its not just about skills but image, positioning the record and appealing to the females whilst pushing those harsh realities and aggressive content. All of which BIG listened to and applied real well.
You can hear a lot of Pacs style in the way he laid his vocals as he obviously molded a lot of what he saw in those sessions because it was working just like you can see the same in all of Pacs affiliates from Syke to the Outlawz as he knew how to makes vocals that grabbed your attention so you'd be a fool not to listen. Pac said himself he jocked his beat selection and topics but I do agree that he went after BIG as he was an easy target for promotion but he did double back once he had the red team backing him before getting clipped.
Either way these two are indelibly linked and one of hip hops greatest what ifs as their talents were cut short just at the point they were growing into their potential so it is what it is.
Us talking about them now energizes their spirits as a man has two deaths. One in the physical and the next the last time he's mentioned by the living so rise in power to the legends.

If you had the potential of even being a tiny bit impartial with this I'd engage in discussion but the previous topic you waded into waving your Stan card high and clear said all I needed to hear so I'll bid you good evening with well wishes.
You can't get no stanisfaction.
