Jay-Z is a good (not great) emcee who is limited when it comes to his music. Sure, Jay-Z (as could Pac) can write a joint for the club but he (Jay-Z) can't turn around and write a "Hail Mary", a "Who Do You Believe In", a "So Many Tears", a "Dear Mama", or a "I Ain't Mad At Cha".

its sad to say, but jay is falling further and further down my list. around 2002-2004 he was probably my favourite, and i would have argued best. now, dude might not make top 10 ever.

It goes without saying, when you compare the GOAT to other rappers, obviously the GOAT is going to win, but Jigga is a staple in the top 5. He shows so much versatility and is able to do whatever type of song you like. Its not fair to single out a nicca like Hov and say he cant make powerful music like Pac... because outside of Scarface, no one else could/can.

Thats what made Pac special. What makes Jigga special is he almost on another level lyrically where very few rappers can go and that chump the human L aint close.
