2Pac's Biographer: “He wasn’t tough,” “He couldn’t fight”, “didn’t know how to shoot a gun.”

this is a pretty good book. The first thing he hit us off with was the Brenda's baby Davonn Hodge. I know it was on websites a week or so ago, but I didn't hear about it until I read this book. Like Staci Robinson's book, it's informative and well-researched. A lot of shyt I didn't know about. I saw an interview yesterday about the author saying Easy Mo Bee just avoiding the rape case because he didn't want to pay for parking. I know that's in the book later. To the 2pac groupies reading this, your hero, like any other people, does have a side that was most likely never told. I'm not saying 2pac was gay, because I don't believe that, but certain things never came out. Just like Malcolm X. In his autobiography, he didn't mention that him and one of his brothers was the reason his mother got sent to an insane asylum because they kept stealing money from her in their teens. It doesn't diminish all that Malcolm did later in life, but it's a part of his history..

So Pac was a flawed person and did conflicting shyt like everyone else does.

It's just elevated because of celebrity worship.

News at 11.

Doesn't take away from his mark in history. Humanizes him more IMO. His impact is legendary despite his shortcomings and missteps.

Pac doesn't have key defenders in the industry which is why people go bat for him. And people need to wake up because don't think they won't try this with Biggie now that Violetta is gone and Diddy is tarnished.

Notice how all of these pecker woods love to tie in gay shyt to deceased black icons. They did it with Malcolm X,.

They'll use nikkas like Wack100, Charleston white, Akademiks as well to wheel black people into believing the lie the longer it goes unchallenged.

And EDI a whole bytch ass nikka for actually bringing this CAC on his platform and entertaining him. Young Noble and Fatal would never.

Funny thing is the same thing is EASILY done for Cac Legends too.

Some of the people cacs put on a pedestal have done questionable things too despite their status and reverence.

People don’t want to believe anything negative about pac

It is what it is

Let this be report by Jay or Big and dude was reporting police reports and documents and nikkas will be clowning

not true. imo, no rap artist in history exhibited lived-in hypocrisy more than pac.

"keep ya head up"
"that's why i fukked yo bytch"
"learn to see me as a brother stead of two distant strangers"
"i take this war shyt deeply"

pac did it in a way that was incredibly human, and so imo it became an accepted part of his persona. i dont have a problem with the book showing his flaws. they have ALWAYS been there, and anyone not willing to acknowledge that is a fool.

my problem is with pearlman's approach outside of the book (even he has admitted in hindsight that it was a mistake to come in speaking about the man like he knew him personally). a good journalist -- and pearlman was a GOOD sports journalist -- knows you don't make yourself a part of the story. you give people the story and let them draw their own conclusions. all that "he wasn't a fighter" shyt? pearlman made himself a part of the story. and it was compounded by the fact that, yes, he is an outsider to the culture, coming in and immediately making definitive statements about a revered figure. again, even HE admits now that was the wrong approach, and that he deserves the criticism he's received as a result.

End of the day as my man @NV-ME says, "we don't know these nikkaz".

And cats forget how young he died. Dude didn't even get the chance to fully mature. Losing out on a fully mature Pac really sucked. Sad part is it was self inflicted but still I feel deep down dude woulda really done great things getting away from the ignorance.

You HATE Pac so of course you would vouch for this Cacs book :smh:
Shut up fakkit :russ: I hate what 2pac became. He made it out the hood, became a superstar in hip hop and then joined a gang. If you approve of that, you’re as dumb as his groupies and shouldn’t be allowed to procreate. I’m 6 years younger than 2pac. I’m not infatuated with rappers as you are.

We’re living in a time when people with absolutely no connection or understanding of Black culture are re-writing and changing narratives.

Pac talked about his exact thing and was in the process of doing his own autobiography.

@3:34 referring to a article Toure wrote calling him “theatrical”

“This is what I don’t like is that my mother told me this, when Malcolm was alive, writers use to do shyt like that. Then when he died, that same nikka will be like he interviewed me, he’ll be writing a book about my life. And I just don’t like that. Support me, if you don’t understand me, don’t write about me. I don’t ask black nikkaz to jock me. I’m just sayin be honest. You know you’re doing something I can’t do, and I’m doing something you can’t do. I respect you. Respect me. You know there is no nikka out here like this. I don’t have no insecurity about that. And no delusions. Ain’t no nikka like Tupac putting it down. My weaknesses and my strengths.”

That dude is definitely a mixed bag. Some things he's said I believe are accurate based on other things people in the past have said and other things are completely ridiculous.
