Francis was just about to be gassing after the first round and Stipe didn’t capatilize.

Jon also has a MUCH higher work rate. Stipe stood in front of Francis and didn’t give him anything to think about. Especially after the first time he got popped.

The same jones that struggled with a one legged thiago and with reyes in a disputed decision is gonna have an easy time when having boxing not quite as good as stipes', question mark of power if it can even keep Francis at bay (remember stipe can hit hard as hell too), first time at heavyweight, years of substance abuse and hiatus that hurt his perfomances?
Jones can absolutely pull this and I will not be surprised if he does....... he is the most talented fighter mma has seen but it is anything but easy breh

I really don’t think Jones has multiple paths to victory, not in this fight. He cannot range strike him that effectively - they have identical reach and height but a MASSIVE power discrepancy that Jones but *not* Francis would have to respect and it’s highly improbable that Jones will have the ability to hold him down. He only wins if Francis gasses hard very early or some freak mistake results in Jones taking his back and sinking in hooks after fatigue sets in. There’s a 0% chance Jones gets a KO or TKO.

Jones can win but it would almost certainly come from a decision victory via leg kicks and body kicks (point collecting) after Francis gassed. This is a nightmare matchup for him.

Not beyond the first round, if Jones gets passed that it’s gas city. Imagine Francis trying to fight in the fourth round barely able to stand



He better ko jones in the first cause his odds will dwindle

One thing I will say is I think jones chin will carry over well. I dont think I've seen him really rocked. Took some beatings but wasn't rocked

Lmfao Jones does not have the power to hurt Francis much less score a KO. Stipe was bombing all over Francis in the first fight (and he had MANY dominant positions) and he was barely even wobbled. Look at that KO gif again- Stipe lands a hard right hand counter flush and Ngannou eats it like NOTHING and immediately responds with the fight ending left hook. You’re seriously overrating the hell out of Jones, he didn’t come close to finishing Anthony Smith. He can win but the only way he finishes is if Francis shyts the bed and gets caught in a rear naked choke.

This is either going to be a tepid Jones decision win over an exhausted Francis or Bones goes to sleep. Any other outcome is VERY unlikely.
