If you want people to go back to work and drop dead, be prepared for the lawsuits out the ass. Be prepared for the insurance claims bankrupting businesses for allowing sick workers to die on the job.
I don't want anyone to go to work with the virus. If you could read, you would see that my point was there's nothing stopping someone who tests positive from returning to work in the U.S.

IMO they should test everybody once a month or so... anyone who tests negative or had it and got over it should be free to roam, anyone who tests positive should be quarantined.

Alright gentlemen i got approved

This is the thing. There is a maximum benefit cap.

So unless the legislation waives the cap or significantly raises it, im going to hit it quickly. The objections of these a$$holes that poor people are getting a raise..and even the arguments of some democrats saying well they will get a raise for 4 months are probably both phony!

The bill says 39 weeks of eligibility rather than my states 26. Which would raise the cap of benefits by 13 weeks of my weekly benefit (which isnt shyt). That really equals like 3 extra weeks of payments for me rather than 13.

So again, unless they are significantly raising the cap or waiving it, poor people are not gonna get the come up as advertised.

If anyone has information to clarify that for me i would appreciate it.

Good point that no on is talking about. Unless you went thru Katrina or hurricane season you aren't prepared mentally most likely. Lot of people think this will be over in a couple weeks so they're fine with staying home. But things will be worse in a couple weeks. There is no quick fix or "wow that was crazy, glad we're back to normal now" moment. Trump out here giving people false hope.

$1200 one time payment isn't gonna fix this. Too many people are fukked, financially. Too many businesses are fukked. We focus on people but imagine being a small business owner. You closed your shyt down due to the shelter declaration, you aren't paying employees, you don't know when you can reopen, and you don't know how quickly you'll be able to access that money from the govt. It's not just gonna be a simple direct deposit for businesses.

Entire restaurant industry has been destroyed. Lot of people out here with no job and April rent coming up. Many won't have a job before May 1st either...

Folks dont realize restaurants and small businesses got leases and rent to pay too. Most don't own the building they are in and desirable locations can cost 5K to 10k or more per month to rent. I wouldn't be surprised if 50% close by the end of the year cause of this.

I didn’t even think about that.

I was thinking a lot of laid off/fired workers that were lower earners were going to come up off that extra 600, but if that just means they hit the cap sooner and still get cut off.... the finesse

then why do they say you can get benefits even if you've already exhausted your claim? exhausted means you've hit your cap already

unless... the goal is to drive small businesses out of business and make more people poverty stricken.
.

This is exactly what it is. The people hurt the most wont be low wage earners. They will eventually land another low wage job. It will be the small business owner and middle and upper middle class feeling the squeeze. Big Corps and the 1 percent wins again.

Ya thats what im saying

So maybe theyll take the weekly benefit sans 600 x 13 to raise the total cap but i doubt theyre gonna factor in the 600

Unemployment/Underemployment has been a problem for the last couple years. Now it's apparent since folks can't earning nothing from gigs and side hustles. If you have already been hard times, you already know what it is. If you haven't, :francis:

Thank you

I understand they are extending it 13 weeks but i doubt they are factoring the extra money into that cap adjustment

My unemployment recently ran out — could I sign up again?

Yes. If you’ve exhausted your benefits, eligible workers could generally reapply. But how much you would get and for how long would depend on the state where you worked. Everyone would get at least another 13 weeks, along with the extra $600 payment.

i dont know who answered that but there shouldn't be a need to reapply. you're under unemployment for a year. you typically run out of money, or the cap you keep referring to, in 13 weeks(26 in some states), that's how they divvy it up. im assumimg if you're already under, this shyt would be automatic and you'd resume getting checks[this new $600/week thing] after this gets enacted, if it does-- meaning people with exhausted status will now just receive 600 a week for 4 months; your original money is already gone. but that doesn't seem to be clear anywhere. a google search returns a couple results from faq pages from unemployment agencies of various states in which they themselves acknowledge this situation, they just don't know at this time

they need to hurry up with this shyt, i need my chippas 911:feedme:
