Don’t get mad because no one agrees with your post fine that’s who you look at as kings. It’s going to get critiqued.
Yall are discrediting an elite artist. Yall arent "respectfully critiquing". Im irritated because this couldve been a great appreciation thread

But just like many threads on The Coli, the negative debate team experts rushed in here, read none of what I posted, and gave unsolicited pretentious arguments

Yall pollute threads every day with this toxic nonsense. Rushing in threads before the genuine posters can positively add to them

"BU--BUT FUTURE HAS BETTER MIXTAPES THAN ALL 3. DRAKE IS MORE RELEVANT THAN EVERYONE
:skip: :skip: :skip:

Do yall really appreciate hip hop and the culture? Or do yall just like the music? There's a difference. And every thread in The Booth, yall show it's the latter for

This is why this thread is the last one I'll make about giving artists flowers

Yall make me sick. The Booth, TLR, and The Coliseum as a whole makes me sick

Everything isnt a debate. Yall pollute threads with sentimental opinions and hot takes. This is not about whos the best ever or who you like to listen to

Rappers who make music this very day would consider Kendrick, KRIT, and Cole 3 of the greats

Cole said on Prove It off KRIT's 2019 album
"Krit my nikka, I feel your shyt, been feeling your shyt since.....put me on, I put him on Dot, he put me on KRIT.....now years have gone"

But yall are in here discrediting this man to prop up your favorites

Im out

I wouldn’t consider those three or Drake as current generation.
nope, post 2019 is a new generation...but the current generation is where there's popularity but no kings/goats/standout talent using the same general metrics from the past. there's dope people making music, but the sales and impact aint as big

Drake -> Future -> Kendrick
I would honestly put Future over Drake. His lane has been copied time and time again. One of the most influential rappers ever

He outshined Drake on their collabs imo. And he hasn't fell off like I think Drake has. His music is organic. He creates the waves, he doesnt ride them

There has always been controversy about who the 3rd one is. Some may consider the 3rd "first" on their list. This thread isnt about ranking though. It's about appreciating future legends

Who ever considers who ever to be the GOAT is irrelevant. We gotta appreciate real artists like this while they're active

I hope everyone who posts in this thread reads these and the rest of the OP

Ain’t no 3 kings. It was Drake, then everybody else. He’s not my favorite rapper of the bunch but he’s by far the definitive rap superstar and chosen one of his generation. Questionable pen game and all. :yeshrug:

His pen game isn’t “questionable” the half a nikka straight up uses GHOSTWRITERS and there are entire reference tracks to prove it.

Not just a verse
Not just a verse/hook
Not just the flow

The ENTIRE muthafukking song. The man’s a fraud as a writer.

The current generation big 3 is Durk, Lil Baby and NBA Youngboy.
True I feel like that's valid. That's the thing. Are we still in the Kendrick Cole generation? Or is it how it was in 2008-2010 when that Jay/Nas era shifted?

Lil Baby is by far my favorite out of those 3. The Bigger Picture made him one of my favorites

I knew he was different when he said "wahh wahh wahh bytch im the baby"
:wow:
