Because it doesnt address the real issue, which is an artificially high cost of living.
Because there are far better solutions if we are willing to work towards them:sas1:
Because we should want govt. directly intervening in the market as little as possible.:usure:
Because the percentage goes up, giving more credence to future increases :damn:
Because minimum wage increases are not cost free... and those cost appear to be paid by those at the bottom(blacks):wow:

are you trying to get your Mises pass revoked or what?

Increase minimum wage, paid for by the bottom.

Leave minimum wage alone, paid for by the bottom.

Get rid of minimum wage, bottom goes up?

A $15 minimum wage benefits not just workers making $7.25, but everyone who makes over that but less than $15. Which is WAY more people than 4% of workers.

A $15 federal mw isnt happening breh :francis:

And the main point of the 4% is it empirically shows that the market isn't paying workers the lowest rate possible at every turn. In fact at 4%(3.9 to be exact) almost no one is doing that.

I wouldn't say that. For example, an NFL team is going to pay a star player the least that it can get away with. That amount is higher than the least one can get away with for other professions because if it was the same thing, no one would put as much into that field. You would then have a lack of those professionals. But once you have a system in place where people are going into these fields, employers will not pay individuals their actual value to a company if they can avoid it and a lack of transparency breeds that due to the decline of unions.

"actual value":francis:

Truth is the market(:blessed:) has already determined that the value of the vast majority of labor is above the fed min wage. No govt. mandate needed...
