Yeah nah he the best center since Shaq and depending on your definition of best…he’s better.

It’s him or Hakeem at this point for me

He did this against Mason Plumlee and Nick Richards

I know it makes me sound like a hater, but this is a weak era for centers. Joker and Embiid are the only real centers of this era, and Embiid is hurt. Shaq dominated a weak era too in the 2000s, but Shaq was drafted in the 90s and played against Hakeem, Ewing, Robinson, Mourning. And even the centers that were weak, they were a legit 7ft. This era now is a bunch of PFs masquerading as centers.
Only real response here. No one stopping Jokic because all the centers are 6’11 134 pounds that are 3 point specialists.

Nah bruh he’s a Steve Nash point guard in a centers body.

If he don’t kill you with points he’ll get you with assists.

Offensively, I don't think much would change for Jokic going up against the greatest centers in the history of the game, except for maybe Hakeem. Jokic rarely had any paint touches last night. I don't think many centers, especially the ones from back in the day, would feel comfortable defending out on the perimeter the majority of the game.

Yeah, the problem I and many others are starting to have is that the media and a large portion of NBA fans keep trying to award and deem Jokic the MVP every season as long as he's breathing.

Although it's not his fault, I feel like his greatness has unintentionally weakened the MVP reward because, as you said, what was once the unwritten criteria (voter fatigue, better storyline, best record) no longer counts when it comes to Jokic.

Simply being the best player in the league never guaranteed an MVP, but with Jokic, that standard no longer exists.

The man could be a 7th or 8th seed and possibly still win the MVP over a player who is having a great season leading their team to a top 2 record, there's no way he should have more MVPs than Kareem, Russell, Jordan, Wilt, and LeBron by the time his career is over because all those names have much bigger legacies and accomplishments but it's starting to seem likely that he may surpass Bill Russell and Michael Jordan in that category before he even wins, let alone if he ever reaches that stage again, his 2nd and 3rd championship.

I also believe the media awarding him all these MVPs is their way of helping him make up for the lack of championships he'll likely never win since the Nugget's future, long-term wise, doesn't look as bright as other teams in the West has gotten better and primed to be in contention for many years.

I bet you thought this sounded really smart when you typed it out.:unimpressed:.
