Its funny but it aint even that deep. It doesn't mean you old or . shyt black folks be growing up with they uncles...nikkas be younger half the time. If anything its just a sign of respect.

Definitely a sign of respect. It’s ok too as long as they’re not disrespectful with it. We need to talk to the younger folks anyway, help them out of if they need it. I’ve had a younger dude call me “OG” and asked for my opinion on something before. That’s 100% cool to me. A lot of people don’t make it to UNC status so appreciate while you can.
