They shouldn’t have been allowed to enter the country, period. A minor enters a country illegally on their own and our policy is “sort it out later.”

Would you let a 7 year old wander into your house and assume responsibility until you figure out who they are, what happened to them, and who they belong to?

We created this mess by being weak and wanting to appear noble. Minors should be turned around immediately.
