WWE just announced to the live crowd in Philadelphia that the 2015 Royal Rumble will go on sale this Friday. The event will be held on 1/25/15.

It was also announced that The Rumble, for the second time in history, will be a 40 Man Rumble

I only remember Del Rio won the last one.:ld:

Also, the return of @Kevin_Nash as Diesel. He sure milked the reaction he got:mjpls:

With the roster they got right now, I guess they'll have a bunch of NXT stars on it, apart from the usual surprise entrants. Unless they put the Bunny, el Torito, Hornswoggle...:snoop:

that'll get its own segment then khali will "run" down to the ring and eliminate them to the delight of all those watching.

need to go surprise this year and have sami zayn win. Everyone will be like :merchant:
When was the last time we had:
1. A rumble winner that actually elevated a wrestler to main event status
2. A rumble winner that wasn't a previous rumble winner
3. A rumble winner that nobody thought would win

No chance of someone unexpected....it's a nightmare in this era. They'll do anything to make sure Cena keeps making top dollar and keeping everyone on a glass ceiling routine. A new maineventer means dishing out main event money....that's always been apart of the sham too despite all of their rhetoric about getting over and being accepted by the audience leading to pushes. They were ALMOST angry that Bryan got so over and heeled on the audience(the entire face locker room) when they chose Rock over Cena....lol. And the crazy motherfukkers put it on DVD/Blu Ray..hahaha

The current product is a lot like the mid-90's with all the stupid and cartoonish shyt insulting the audience's intelligence. So fukk it, might as well bring back Doink, Dink, Bastion Booger, the Bushwackers, etc.

Blah. I remember the other 40-man Rumble being a lil' longer and a lil' boring and a lil' unnecessary. It gets everybody on the show but unless it's gonna make for a good Rumble match, doesn't matter.

Someone unexpected winning the Rumble has damn near never happened tho'... only ones I can think of is Austin in '97 and Del Rio in '11. And I guess the Bret/Lex double win was unexpected cause you didn't expect two winners... even tho' Lex was pretty obvious at the time.

Who's winning this year pretty much depends on who's gonna be back in time for it... Reigns or Bryan.
