It's not a matter of rather or not it's selfish. Who am I to decide a child shouldn't have a chance at life based on a birth defect I feel is fukked up. Some people are born disabled and are still happy some without limbs who love their lives who are great full to wake up everyday breathing. That's not to say some people aren't truly suffering but there are people out there who love life despite what they go through and it wouldn't be right to deny them life. Just because I see something as fukked up doesn't matter the only thing that matters is that the human being I bring into the world has a chance at experiencing the world it's ups and downs and all. I for one will be there no matter how my child is concived or how healthy it is. It doesn't matter if a woman drugs me handcuffs me to the bed and rapes me I'll be doing everything I can to make sure she never sees the child and after its born and raise him/her. If he has some kind of abnormality it's my battle as well.

Once again, one of their actions has a socio-economic effect on a living, breathing, thinking human being.

Yeah but technically it depends on the woman to actually have life. Of course it's not alive in the first place which is why it can't be compared to an actual embryo but I just thought it was funny.
