You're thinking about it all wrong. If you're making that much, you're a prime candidate for ending up wealthy, which means that you won't miss say 10% of your income yearly. Then, after you stop earning money, imagine looking up and seeing that you have 4 million dollars in an account somewhere in addition to whatever you've built over your career.
