As a native New Yorker, born & raised, I'll say this.

Get money or get the fukk out :camby:

They let all these transplants come here and drive up prices, now people want to complain.

it's that simple and it's the same formula everywhere. Anyone born here who hasnt figured out how to get their shyt in order is out of their fukking mind. Go to college outta state, get your certs up, live a little and come back with a game plan so you can eat instead of working these bullshyt jobs. All kinds of big ass skyscrapers packed in Manhattan filled with companies paying $65k to $500k+ and you have every a$$hole from the middle of nowhere pulling up and getting put on.

fukk that shyt. Folks need to make sure they eat off of this too rather than simply watch these salamander skin looking CACs come in and drain the flavor from the city. It's no prize being here if you can at least have the option to enjoy whats here. And everything wont appeal to every one but I will be damn if my work week will be consumed with bagging up items for condescending CACs at Duane Reade on 23rd street.

Doesn't matter where you go. The bubble is going to burst and effect you too eventually. These too expensive to live in cities won't have jobs to support the people who want to pay to live there. If people can't afford to live somewhere then most businesses can't afford to to keep shop set up there.

Yup. It's all connected. I don't know why people can't see that

And the most fukked up thing about it most of these hipsters moving and kicking y'all out are not planning on living their long term, they just want to experience "culture" that they can't experience in their cultural wastelands.

And once they bleed the city dry and NY is no longer the cool place to live or they cant Afford it they're going to pack up and move on, leaving behind dozens of high-rises that can't be filled and guess what the prices will go down and now you have new project buildings.

And another thing we all know cacs especially the hipster variety are heavy into drugs, so as more cacs come In I can see the drug game in NY becoming serious again.

Breh got to eat someway:demonic:

Of course that was bullshyt

1st you say they weren't creating new jobs, so what were they doing creating old jobs?

2nd you said they were importing workers elsewhere , im sure NYC has more than enough talented individuals that the majority of the jobs werent coming elsewhere

Of course if you didn't attempt to educate yourself to work and were living in a place that the rent was going up then the only complaint should be the one you hold for not moving with the times

@Nicole0416 hey breh instead of pouting like an old heifer why don't you use your words and be civil?

You're just saying stupid shyt

NYC has been hip since the 1800s

And it's been infested with drugs probably the same time frame

You're worse than republicans with thus fear tactic , people don't want nyc to reach its full potential. End up like Detroit before any of you are happy

Y’all love talking about Houston as the place to be.

You’re in for a rude awakening.

You better hope you can afford to live where you work. If not get prepared to spend 6-10 hrs a week commuting.

Houston has a lot of economic opportunity...... a lot......but you better have a real skill before you move down here. If you’re in
Medicine
IT
Energy

You’ll enjoy it down here, even still you’re going to pay a premium for nice apartment in a neighborhood that has stuff to do. That’s important if you’re young

When it’s time to buy a home get ready to commute

NYC is crazy overprieced. I love the city, but lol @ the cost of living.

If you're a millenial and want to move there, do yourself a favor and move to a much cheaper city and get your shyt straight first. Living in NYC living paycheck to paycheck ain't really living in NYC. People get sold on this image and dream of living in that city then move there to get fukked up by reality. There's a reason things are the way they are, b.

NYC is a failed social experiment.

NJ aint too far behind with this $15 minimum wage bullshyt. Instead of making ill prepared immigrants, poor people with poor mentalities and people who don't know how to use contraceptives be responsible, raise the floor for losers and let people like myself who worked hard and self sacrificed my 20's to make a decent wage suffer.
