Moments like this are what people who mock the both sides argument tend to gloss over. The antics of the current democratic leadership and this constant need to chase those mythical swing voters clearly displays what the both sides discussion should really be about.
And as far as AOC is concearned I still have faith in her politics but it's obvious she's making concessions to try and get leverage in other areas. Remember when she first arrived in office she had a very aggressive staff that had her attacking Pelosi and camping out in her office. She quickly found out that doing that all the time made it so she didn't get any committe assignments and aside from her floor votes couldn't really use her seat to affect any change/policy.
There will be a point mind you that too many concessions will cause her to lose sight of her original goals but hopefully she's aware and doesn't go too far.
Both sides doesnt keep score, though. AOC was wrong on this but the only reason it is baffling is because it plays counter to how she usually votes.
As long as people don’t act like this defines her voting record, we can talk. If everything before this vote was forgotten, it’s disengenous. That said, it was a bad vote. Whatever she was angling for, hope it was worth it.
