The issue with that Denver situation was that Iverson was a redundant scorer with Melo on the team....so of course the team would be better without the redundancy and a pass first guard in Chauncey.

How great are you if you can't/won't make it work with other greats? People stay trying to cop pleas for players that they exalt as so great when they fail to fit with other supposedly great players. This ain't football where roles are etched in stone. In basketball shyt is fluid, and the best players are able to adapt to pretty much anything as long as there is talent around them.

shrink lebron down to ai's size and see where he ranks, mufukkas hating on the answer

But we can't. Your size, along with many other physical attributes, impacts your game. That's like saying, make AI as fast, agile, and quick as Tim Duncan and see where he ranks. He was what he was and that was great...just not as great as my fellow << 6 feet brethren want to try to make him.

never go full retard breh. don't even reply, just know that you lost credibility posting this shyt.

Go refute my post about when Iverson/Nash mey the Spurs in the playoffs with similar amounts of help and at similar ages before you talk to me.

Iverson is a better slasher and finisher, Nash is a better shooter/passer/playmaker. Biggest difference between Nash and Iverson's numbers is that Nash focused more on passing and less on shooting.

Iverson would be unguardable in today's era:francis:

nikka would shoot 18 fts a game :stopitslime:

this doesn't make any sense.

he did play in this era.

the year they changed the handcheck rules he put up 33 a game with 11.5 fta

Ah yes and AI thread which means we are guaranteed the following:

fukk stats, only white geeks care about that (:whoa: unless they support my stance)

Bu...bu...but AI never had help aside from a DPOY, 6th MOY, Melo and other talented players in DEN, the core of a squad that had dominated the east for 6 years in DET, and Stackhouse. The fact that he had issues fitting in with other talented players is immaterial.

He carried a squad to the Finals all by himself because 6MOY, DPOY, and COY don't count and it doesn't matter that he never came close to "carrying" any other team anywhere near as far. There is no way that was just one lucky year.

Bu...bu...but he was only 6 feet which is taller than the likes of Spud and Muggsy and my nikka Terrell Brandon among others that we rarely if ever talk about and certainly don't elevate because of their height.

One day cats will understand the the amount of love you have for a player has nothing to do with how good they are/were....probably not :heh:.

AI is one of the most difficult players to judge in history. If you love him and respect what he did just to get the shots off that he did then you place him among the greats where he belongs. If you focus on percentages and not impact on the court (fukk Per) then you will shyt on him like a lot of folks try to do.

Some points were valid, and others were lacking context. Iverson is in the 30s, out of 1000s of players, which is damn good.

a lot of overrated superstars deserve to be exposed more than Iverson:patrice:

Someone used to tell me AI was just Jamal Crawford with ultimate green-light. I used to think he was crazy but after these tweets he probably had a point. :jbhmm:

How do you have multiple seasons shooting under 40% in your prime. :scust:

This is the nikka they compare to Wade @Draje :merchant:

76ers 1995-1996 record 18-64
1996-1997(Iverson's rookie year) 22-60
1997-1998 31-51
1998-1999 28-22 (Iverson leads the league in scoring in just his 3rd year) Sixers went from the worst team in the league in 96 to making it to the second round of the playoffs in 99
1999-2000 49-33 loss in the semi conference finals 4-2 to the eastern confer champs (Iverson is all nba second team)
2000-2001 56-26 (Sixers lose to the lakers in the nba finals 4-1 giving them their only lost in the postseason a game in which ai went off for 48 points) He also won mvp was once again the scoring champ and all nba first team

Was A.I. Flawed yes but you can't deny his greatness or impact on the game.He helped revitalize a franchise that was in shambles brought a new style of play to the nba that is basically the blueprint for the modern guard and did it all while being just 6 feet tall and 165 pounds soak and wet

You'll cacs who could never play but know how to crunch numbers better put some respek on his name
