Unleash them flutes :wow:
Never really seen that 01 playoff run put into that perspective. He went up against some great SGs in every round and arguably they ALL outplayed him.

And we all know what Shaq did to the DPOY in the Finals.....that MVP vote was just egregious that year.

Top 30ish is about as high as I can go with Iverson.

Iverson gets all this overrated praise because he was doing big things in 2001

he had sneaker commercials, the street clothes on the court, the braids and durags, while averaging 30 something points that year he was essentially everything your local basketball player in the hood wanted to be

After 2001 he became an afterthought

Kobe was the real answer

How is Iverson even comparable to Nash? A 2x MVP who has led 7 of the 12 greatest offenses in NBA History. One of the most efficient scorers and shooters ever.

49 % FG, 43% 3PT, and 90% FT for his entire career.

He was always one of the least athletic guys on the court that didn't stop him from being one of the most efficient players in the LEAGUE.
You putting Nash ahead of Iverson :what:...:mjlol:...:dead:

Prime Nash was dealing with the fukking Duncan led Spurs in the WCF while Iverson had to contend with Reggie Miller led Pacers and barely squeaking by the Allen led bucks.

Put those Iverson teams in the West, does he make it out of that conference?

Put those Suns in the East, do they make it past the fukking Bucks, Raptors, and Pacers?
Put Iverson on those Suns and they at least make the finals :umad:

He's underrated if you don't think he's a superstar, overrated if you have him with Wade or Kobe. He's Ray Allen, Reggie Miller tier
I believe given the chance to play with a championship caliber team you'd change your mind on this statement.

Ray Allen or Reggie Miller would have nightmares guarding Iverson, heck Kobe and Wade would have a hard time.

The reason why I'm so against stats in the case of Allen Iverson is simple. All his years on the Sixers (his prime) he was never with someone else who could create their own shot against a competent defense. Yes, the popular belief that the 2001 SIxers were just some scrubs is false but none of those guys were a Kyrie Irving or Klay Thompson type baller who could force the defense to focus heavily on someone else outside of Iverson.... The fact that that Sixers offense was more or less a one trick pony and dude would still score above 30 regularly... At 6 feet, 170lbs?

Nothing overrated about Iverson, his peers (fellow NBA players) and fans all know what's up from actual footage, not just stats. I don't understand how people can look at stats alone and figure they know someones game to the T.

once youre argument is to put teams in a different conference you lost.

Duncan wasnt even the best player on a few of his runs back then, the Spurs were just a balanced team with a core of second round draft picks..you acting like Jordan or Shaq was blocking his path to the finals.

there is literally no argument you can make for Nash.
