You right about Hagaler. I failed to mention tht. Ray had to think twice about tht power.

Yea he waited a bunch of years and after the Mugabe war fight that took a bit out of Hagler. Probably my favorite fight to watch, pure slugfest. Obviously the Hagler-Hearns was incredible as well but the Mugabe went a bunch of rounds

Unfortunately Hagler goes under the radar in this era

At 147, SRL is better offensively than Floyd Mayweather. He was combination throwing, jab landing, aggressive boxer...meaning he would stalk you at some points or get on his toes and outbox you from the outside, and he had more power than Floyd and equal chins. He had stamina as well.

He was also a GREAT finisher. If his opponents should any "hurt" or looked like they were in trouble, he would pounce on them and finish them immediately.

He was a very skilled fighter and one of the best ever in the sweet science and techniques in the ring. Heart of a lion with ring intelligence to boot.

SRL was a great fighter.

different style breh. Exactly what you just summarized. You still couldn't tell me whyu SRL should be considered better. I would say it again, only thing I give SRL is the power.

:heh: Ray had more than just a better punch breh. He had heart, real heart. He didn't duck anyone. Plus where you think Floyd gets most of his style from? Ray helped mold tht style ( I'm not saying Floyd copying Ray)

True true, but what makes SRL better ? and don't tell me he didn't duck anyone though :mjpls:

You said originally you don't see what SRL does better than Floyd and I broke it down. You didn't ask me why he should be considered better.

Anyways, SRL resume is why he's considered better than Floyd and why he's a consensus Top 10 all-time fighter. Floyd resume doesn't add up to Leonard's who beat multiple HOF fighters, while they were still at their peaks.

@LeVraiPapi you right! Let me go on record and say I spoke out of my ass on tht one. Cause he did duck Hagler. :snoop:

For me what makes Ray better, is his finesse, and although Ray ducked Hagler, he did face better opposition (Herns, Duran, Wilfred Benitez ) and was able to showcase skill and perseverance.
I think Ray put combos together better than Floyd. He was more consecutive with combos and movement.

Breh, like what are you talking about? Is this you're attempt to turn the conversation into some esoteric and nebulous shyt? I know you don't know much about boxing, but you really need to get up on the history of the sport before you attempt to clarify things for others. Arguello is the best junior lightweight of all time. Duran is the best lightweight of all time, fact. Chavez the best junior welter. Ray Robinson the best Welter, fact. And 154 is debatable, but it isn't Mayweather for damn sure.

What you're asking is like saying what makes Ted Williams, Tony Gwynn, Ruth, Ty Cobb, Bonds, et al the best hitters of all time. It's generally agreed upon by people who seriously follow the sport presently and retroactively. Mayweather can't be the best of all time if he's not even the singular man in a division. This is common sense. It's like saying that Ali is the GOAT, but Joe Louis is the greatest heavyweight of all time. :wtf:

By the way, Sugar Ray Robinson is clearly the GOAT fighter. Floyd would cryogenically freeze himself to be revived at another time in history on some Demolition Man shyt if he had to fight Sugar. I don't even know why I'm entertaining you. You don't even know who the 140 champ is without googling it, but are in here trying to talk boxing. :snoop:

I'm going to let you rock, though. :sas1:

Ima rep you when off 24's these flomos stay foaming at the mouth fuccn SRR went 40-0 before losing to Lamotta & Chavez Sr was 89-0-1. Lmfao chris john was undefeated before losing to Vetyeka. When he retires or loses all his delusional fans can hit the fuccn briccs.
