For budget sets they are dirt cheap and TCLs have been rated pretty highly based on the value of TV sets for what you are paying for.

However you do get what you pay for and I would generally stay away from the dirt cheap sets as they have problems and/or the picture quality is subpar, even for the average viewer. Not saying you got to spend $1k+ on a set, but I think you can get a higher quality set that you’ll enjoy for at least a couple hundred dollars more.

That all being said, regardless of what set you buy, I would recommend getting some type of sound system if you don’t already have one. Even the cheap entry level soundbars will make you never want to use TV speakers again.

its good for a extra room tv but def not best for everyday viewing/movies/gaming

agreed. with my tcl which is my main tv currently i have a 65 inch 5 series i used all of my money on getting sonos surround system and its a night a day experience that makes up for maybe the lack of quality i miss in the 6 series tcl or even a vizio

i know everyone on here wants everyoen to buy the top of theline product but reality is we all cant.

i havent went wrong with TCL or Vizio(all though they are now mid level IMO)

if you are gonna do TCL make sure you get the 6 series. i didnt really know what i was doing and jsut needed a tv so i didnt get that one. if i could go back i would do that. i believe it has 4k uhd 120hz and not some tricky way to do it for a marketing check box...the 4 and 5 series i believe is done in a different manner to check marketing boxes

edit: you will def be able to tell the difference when watching sports and high paced movies.:mjcry:

Other breh was saying you’ll need a monitor with an hdmi 2.1 input to display 4K 120 because hdmi 2.0 maxes out at 4K 60. In reality though the ps5 isn’t powerful enough to push out 4K 120, whenever you enable performances mode on these games, most of them are down-resing the games to 1080p in order to hit 120 FPS. Basically, as long as your monitor is 120hz you should be able to get the most out of performance mode on your games. If/when you play in highest quality mode then they will take advantage of the 4K and HDR capability of your monitor, which is why you want a 4K monitor with a high refresh rate.
