This is how I feel, as well.

9 is way too young for this. Little breh could have been confused, distracted, or influenced by what he was seeing on TV or youtube or social media or whatever. The article said he wanted to "dress like a girl." He was most likely trying to mimick what he thought was "cool" to him. A lot of kids go through that awkward phase where they're trying to find themselves and don't really know what direction to go. That's why it's important for parents to guide their kids and keep it real with them from the jump. Poor kid was doomed from the start.

I knew lil boys and girls that were CLEARLY gay by 4th grade. And I grew up in a time where being gay was not cool at all. This is also the same time you really start developing crushes on your peers. A kid can definitely tell if they're developing crushes on the same sex or not.

The root of this issue, as well as the twitch shooting, is a lack of conflict resolution skills. These kids do not how to push thru when faced with seemingly insurmountable odds.

This is probably a result of this "everyone's a winner" culture we've been living in for the past 15yrs. We have to teach kids that life comes with ups and down. You not always gonna be a winner. You not always gonna be a cool kid. And that's ok. Just find your lane and cruise in that bytch.

The confused emotions of an undeveloped mind are not enough to conclude that any of these kids are gay. These feelings can pass (and do oftentimes). Even if they come across as feminine, lots of straight dudes have feminine mannerisms from growing up around women. It does not mean that they are "gay".

In fact, "being gay" is a political construct. What we know for a fact is that some people have homosexual desires and that these desires are the result of many factors. We also know that these desires are "fluid" and can pass - especially in young kids and adolescents who are not yet fully developed.

Instances like this is going to increase LGBTQ talk in classrooms, and they’re going to start with young kids.
