Thought this was tomorrow:why:

Oh well, at least I got my bet on Teo in early.

Judging from the Haney 'highlights' I just saw, it's probably I good thing I missed it.

let me collect my thoughts

this was suppose to be a showcase featuring top american boxingtalent of various notoriety vs acceptable comp

i have never seen all the A sides on a card put in bad performances like this

teo still got marked up in a fight where he outworked somebody
barboza lack of offensive output finally caught up to him on the biggest stage of his career. shyt was disgustin
haney is mentally broken with a case of the happy feet. he didnt want to engage at all...even with a cooked opponent
ramirez tried his damndest but he couldn't cut off the ring and was chasing all night
ryan depowered of PEDs couldn't even outbox a man that fighters of lesser status have been able to do
rolly was the only cat that fought like he belonged and now is prolly close to being a whole legit 147 champ :hhh:

turki failed hard with this one....by far his worst offering..his next american offering is going to need some serious thought

Yeah, I really hope this is a wake up call for him. This shyt told me more about his YouTube algorithm (it's literally the only way you could explain some of the fukkery surrounding the actual fights) than it did about the immediate future of boxing. Although in his defense, stacking cards like has for previous shows is difficult. He just happened to catch four mid ass fights on this one.

Sounds like he's done

He'll be alright. He's just in the middle of the immediate shock of what the loss means for his career. Realistically speaking, the most accessible money fights for him were rematches with Haney and Tank, and unless Tank loses to Roach, those are both further away than they've ever been. He's still a main event draw, but he probably needs to grind his way back up to being able to get this type of payday again. That's a hell of thing to have to grapple with immediately after taking a L.

Going up weight classes with long layoffs is no joke. Haney and Garcia learnt that the hard way today. Haney fundamentally on point though so he can pull out more tricks to get the W.

Boxing is in a strange, strange place right now, everyone's favourite Saudi has been exposed as a murderer too. (we all knew this, but it makes it more disgusting when its substantiated in print.) https://archive.md/XLc9O

At least we got the voice of boxing back for a night, that was nice. :salute:
