No its not.
The Heritage Foundation proposal is quite different from Obamacare and Romneycare.

I think his point is that the ACA didn't go after the main cost drivers of healthcare.


Congress could easily pass a national rate setting bill for providers to only charge what they charge Medicare. Save money instantly.

Probably won't happen due to fear that doing something like this would hurt hospitals financially and/or cause them to charge Medicare more.

IMO it's a good argument as to why for-profit healthcare is inherently problematic. Anything else aside from universal healthcare is at best a band-aid that doesn't fix the real issue.

I hate the heathcare system as much as the next man, but this is disingenuous. It’s not $5K just for an ice pack. You’re paying for a bed, ER doc visit, nursing staff, etc.

even here in canada if you don't havea health card those are rates you will pay, hospital charges you like 2,500 a night for the room, xrays everything and then doctors will charge oyu like 500 for their fe
