call me what you want, but we are in one of the worst eras not only for rap but in music in general. Even pop music is not producing anything catchy.

The worst era was from 04-09, hands down. We still recovering from that damage.

Now me n you barely agree on shyt. But I always cosign when you say that we are now in a dope new era where you can be "different" or "yourself"

These grumpy old nikkas jus mad that we in a era where you can be wild, quirky, weird n something besides a young thug nikka who sells crack on tha corner and shoots innocent bystanders.

Over Pete Rock instrumentals :pachaha:

:laff: I laugh at some of these :old: nikkas that talk about how music is negative today, when they made music back in the 90s that glorified shooting, crack selling, and ignorance and called it "keeping it real."

At least black kids cam be themselves in this era and make dope music without anyone trying to hold them back or call them "white washed"

I think homie got mid 2000s confused with early 2000s. He prolly talking bout "Dem Franchise Boyz, Young Joc, Party like a Rockstar" etc.

U had t.i., jeezy, kanye, 50 and g unit, ross

Outside of T.I. and Kanye, that era was the dark ages of rap music. Countless one hit wonders, c00nery not seen since Reconstruction, no young lyrical artists outside of Lupe, and the introduction of skinny clothes for men. Especially 07.

It's been wackness and dopeness in every era. Don't do this, this thread is about the future and not the past
