5 dead after attack at California ELEMENTARY school: Wife killed and dumped under floorboard

At least three people were killed in a shooting at an elementary school in Northern California on Tuesday and the shooter was killed by law enforcement, Sacramento television station KCRA reported.

A number of students were airlifted for medical care as a result of the shooting at Rancho Tehama School near the community of Corning, the station reported, citing a sheriff’s official.

“I know of at least three deaths,” Tehama County Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston told KCRA.

Johnston added that the shooter was shot to death by law enforcement and that officers had been sent to multiple scenes in the area. He could not say how many people in total had been killed or wounded.

A representative for the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office could not immediately be reached for further comment.

The school is more than 120 miles (193 km) north of Sacramento.

Please remember not to "politicize" this tragedy or talk about reasonable solutions. Because of reasons. Unless the shooter is Muslim. Then it's okay.

It’s being reported already that he’s a white male in his early 50’s.

"It was very clear at the onset that we had an individual that was randomly picking targets," Johnston said.

He declined to release the name of the shooter but said the gunfire began with a domestic violence incident that neighbors reported.

A man interviewed by media in the area said his roommate was among the victims in Northern California and that his neighbor was the gunman.

Brian Flint said that his neighbor, whom he knows only as Kevin, also stole his truck.

Flint said he and his roommate told authorities that their neighbor was acting "crazy" and threatening them.

Flint said the neighbor had been shooting hundreds of rounds from large magazines.

"The crazy thing is, is that the neighbor has been shooting a lot of bullets lately, hundreds of rounds, large magazines. And, you know, we just, we made it aware that this guy was crazy and he's been threatening us," Flint said.
