Massacre is a great album

Massacre is fine, but it was just too many songs and a bit inconsistent with the production as Dre didn't mix all of his songs. He also gave away all the hits to Banks, Buck, and Game. If he slashed the Massacre by about 7 or 8 songs, it would be looked in much greater regards.

Facts. I agree with all this. Also, he released Get Rich Or Die Trying the movie and the soundtrack which was basically another 50 album, months later. I think that took some stream off The Massacre. Imagine if Hustler’s Ambiton and the Mobb Deep joint were singles instead of Candy Shop.

The Massacre got the attention it did because he was name dropped Jada, Fat Joe & Ja Rule. The beefs fueled his buzz, the music fell flat after Curtis.

Only thing I'd say about POTD is he sounded more like Jay but he'd find his voice for GRODT

People are in denial about The Massacre ... he dropped heavy shyt... people loved the non single cuts like Baltimore Love thing etc

then he shot a video for every track. I understand saying GRODT is your favorite but that would have to be your initial introduction to 50 cent. He was already crushing and on before that CD. Like people said, Power Of a Dollar is arguably better or just as good as GRODT. And nobody brought up that 50 wrote The Documentary singles. This man has at least 4-5 good to great CDs

and like you said, that's excluding his mixtape run. It would just be denial at this point. The soundtrack was better than most people's albums



and edit: he did fall off, I'm not a stan... Curtis was halfway trash and Animal Ambition was forgettable. I forgot to add the Gunit album which was good too to add to his amazing album run

The Massacre was top heavy. The songs that are good, are REALLY good, and better then anything on get rich, but there’s so many bad songs on the majority of the album it’s ridiculous.
