That Going Crazy track is dope, Fif could still pull one out of the bag if he stops chasing the charts/crossover and feeds the streets with introspective tales over nice beats with stories of how it feels to go from point A to B and all that happens in between.

The goal is to make money & make good crossover music. People say they want that, but they don't really. Why were I'm The Man & No Romeo more successful than even his introspective tracks with Eminem, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre in America? Because people want bangers, street music, and upbeat songs from him.

He should never chase critical acclaim because, he never got it even when he was popping & he'll never get it now. People even try to shyt on GRODT. Just feed the people that actually consume your music what they want.

I feel what you're saying but Fif is beyond his commercial appeal time. Look at how as his albums became more formulaic and tried to recapture old hits with recycled concepts his mixtape tracks showcased a super witty artist in his prime and you'll see what I mean because Fif rapping for the heck of it with no "positioning the record" talk always knocks.

Sure casuals like casual things but I'm speaking on a more expanded subject matter and trying something different because his last ten attempts at bringing himself back with the old formula ain't worked because rap has changed and he doesnt fit in anymore therefore flip the script totally and carve a new lane because he had the talent for sure.

He already tried the different subject matter, didn't work. Again I think he should sprinkle a few of those songs on his new projects but if his main objective is to make a comeback to musical relevancy, making a 4:44 type album isn't going to help him. You need a Blueprint 3 before you do that. (even though BP3 is trash). The fact that I'm The Man went Platinum and No Romeo is eligible to be certified Gold proves he's still capable of doing that without he right songs. The Kanan Tape was a step in the right direction sonically for him.
