50 was trying to bait Hov into an attention whoring promo-beef in the run-up to BISD...if i remember correctly he pulled the "i'm signing beans to g-unit" stuff as his last pathetic stunt the week before the album dropped...he sensed that flop was imminent and was trying anything back then deseprate for buzz...it didn't work, Jay didn't bite, fif flopped anyway and Beans went back to being a bum

I guess we all forgetting that Fif made Jay retire on the low. After his battle with Nas, Jay was in need of a senzu bean. I mean Jay won but he was scarred. No way was he gonna risk going into battle with Fif. That nikka would've ended like Frieza after future Trunks split that nikka in half

publicity.. 50 is still a media monster. beans and 50 teaming up? you see the interview right there.. there was about 50 of those counting all the radio stations and internet websites. everyone was on it, everyone was playing the songs
it got them both a lot more notice being it was them two together. i think 50 could have got the same attention with a jay-z diss song. but beans def wouldn't have got international attention at that point
