I doubt it. Juice and Above the Rim were good, but his other movies were lackluster and all of them were more or less low budget and didn't really reach a mainstream audience. And even though he was at the height of his fame when he was on death row, the three movies that were shot at that time flopped or went straight to video.
you doubt is misguided. George Lucas was planning on casting him as Mace Windu before he died. he was clearly on his way to bigger things acting wise. that would've launched him into a list right then.

:mjlol: fifty is not a great live performer either. In fact, out of all the professional rappers I've seen perform live, his show was the absolute worst
:camby:
I tried to tell the coli I seen 50 at the height of get rich while he was touring with Jay. Jay smoked him. Wasn't even close. 50 was just letting the crowd rap most the lines while rapping over his own vocals.

Exactly this :mjlol:I was like wtf is this? This guy is just letting his album play and performing the ad libs :gucci:

Although Jay was the second worst show I've seen. He was lazy and late as fukk, let Memphis Bleek and Beanie Sigel do most of the show and then ended his set after 45 minutes :francis:

What battles did 50 handle “himself” though?

50 in his prime was a force, but come on.

Against Ja Rule it was a full court press with 50, Eminem, Lloyd Banks, Yayo, Buck, Busta Rhymes, D12, Obie Trice, DMX, Dr. Dre, and they even repurposed a Tupac verse and used it on a diss track to Ja.

This is not to say 50 wasn’t in there putting in work. Just that “handled himself” sounds like revisionist history.

His later beefs didn’t go nearly as well with Ross, D Block, Camron, Fat Joe, and more leaving unscathed. If you look it in terms of “by himself” the most effort he gave post ja rule was going at Ross; making full skits, going on press runs, disses back to back, but with the turmoil at G Unit, and no one else jumping in to help send shots, Ross wasn’t even moved in the slightest. Banks had the best diss against Ross (arguably one of the best disses in hip hop) and a lot of people never even heard it (probably including Ross himself).
None of these things were an actual threat to his sales besides the game beef. There's a difference between hiphop culture beef and mainstream beef.

But 50 talks about sales like he is a wonder automatically, but he fukked up going againat Kanye and lost to him. Plus the countless disses from Game, D Block, Nas subliminals, and even Cam'ron, he erssed his historic debut career by many years and was DONE by 2008.

50 is talking trash, 50 never wanted anyone in G-Unit to outshine him. Them nikkaz weren't allowed to collab with other artists.

The main reason The Game under 50 Cent wouldn't have worked, Game personality was too big & wanted to be his own man

Same way Camron, Jim Jones & Juelz, they clashed a lot when Juelz & Jim were going solo & creating their own bigger buzz. Camron tried to fukk up Juelz deal with Def Jam

When the DJ Khaled movement popped off, I remembered when 50 said "That movement ain't nothing compared to being with Eminem and G Unit is better off without them collabos"

Alienating and beefing with 95 percent of your potential partners in the music industry is an utterly stupid concept.

nas, dblock and camron didnt damage his career at all...

they didn't have enough mainstream pull to put a dent in what he was doing

they weren't even threats....

no listener was about to stop listening to 50 because of a diss track....

but hearing the lloyd banks response kept them listening to 50

you arent living in the real world

GRODT: 12 million

The Massacre: 7 million

Curtis: 4 million

BISD: straight up flop :mjlol:

He lost tons of music fans. Plus lost their respect. Once the "One Blood" remix dropped, there was no way Curtis could beef with all those rappers and have an intact career.
