People who know how to manage their money never trip over the tax rate. The tax rate in this country on the wealthy has been 90+% in the past and they still stayed wealthy as all get out.
Why you ask?
Because these folks never pay taxes anyway. They have accountants(some are smart enough themselves) that tweak the many many many deductions they can take advantage of and they end up barely paying taxes anyway. I promise you.....hire a well versed tax professional and that 60+% will lose altitude with the quickness.
You never hear wealthy educated folks crying about the tax rate. That's not a coincidence.

Also it's a Republican talking point to always cry about taxes and they pay the least taxes out of any group. Part of that is because so many of them are actually broke and angry. But a good bit of it is because the wealthy ones cheat more than anybody.
