I've lived in Alabama now and the majority of my life and when I wasn't in Alabama I lived in Mississippi.

Alabama has more than fukking fried food, barbecue and muscadines are the two biggest foods here, not fried food in general which applies to all of the South.
As for Mississippi, no one gives a damn about a mud cake. Stupid shyt. Hell Mississippi, like Alabama is practically two states, the coast and the non-coast have different eating habits. Mobile, Biloxi, and Gulfport you are eating good seafood like most of the people on the coast. Go up and you get your traditional southern food.
