Straight up, it's used as a political agenda.I believe immigrants are used as a smoke screen to cover for a lack of well paying jobs in the US. When I was in College in the 90s, I worked retail during the summers and part time during the year. The majority of my co-workers were adults supporting their families off full-time hours with bonuses/commissions. Besides Footlocker and Gap, all my shoes and clothing were purchased from adults workers. My parents bought all our automobiles, televisions, and appliances from adult workers as well. Today, nearly all non-managerial retail jobs are part-time and minimum wage. Adults today simply have fewer job options. It use to be, "If you didn't go to college....". Now its, "If you didn't go to college and major in STEM...."
Politicians know people ain't doing great out there so they'll say "Immigrants are your problem. Vote for me and we'll fix it!"
However, immigrants ain't the ones boosting up expenses those politicians are racking up.
Same politicians are passing expensive policies that doesn't benefit anybody but them and their friends and that the citizens must pay for on during tax time and on each paycheck.
It's definitely a smoke screen, one of which is politicians to push their agendas.
