50 easily. Ja is probably a better lyricist, though 50 is is a better overall MC. And 50 made much better music.

There was an authenticity missing from Ja's music. He was a Pac/X/Jay hybrid and without the ability excel in any particular area like they did.

*Rule never presented himself as a superthug tho

*The music he was making was for the most part reflective of who he was

*I do agree with u on the PAC shyt tho. That was corny.

When I speak on it lacking authenticity I’m not just speaking from a street perspective, it just never felt like his music was personal. Like none of content felt true to what he was dealing with personally. It felt like cookie cutter “Hood content” if that makes sense.

Get Rich was more of a cultural moment than anything Ja has done but 50 got propped up by a prime Eminem and towering Dre. There were times he got waxed by Banks and I think Buck may have also been a better rapper than him at his peak.

Historical character, but he has never been a top talent. Ironically Ja Rule's shyt has aged better (probably because none of Eminem's production has aged well)

50 is the better artist with the better catalog, but the songs 50 made fun of Ja Rule for making aren’t better than the ones Ja Rule was actually making. Ja Rule’s female oriented songs stand the test of time, 50’s don’t.

Ja could create melodies and hooks and made great songs despite not being a great MC

Fif was all about image and had great production behind him, besides that he was mostly a nursery rhyme rapper

As an artist Ja wins

Not many fukking with 50 when it comes to Hooks. Less than a handful.

this song alone is outstreaming every song Ja Rule ever made and it's just a mid level 50 cent hit
