I was a 50 Stan in high school but in hindsight Ja is the better overall artist. Firstly Ja’s hit records I can still bump. A lot of 50’s hits aged like milk. As for street songs 50 has the edge but the gap isn’t as wide as people think. As an overall lyricist it’s pretty easily Ja. People only talk about Ja’s radio songs but he has a lot of great album cuts. All that said GRODT is better than every Ja album. But overall Ja is the better rapper

Both are equally the same with the mix of street and pop music. 50 has hooks and songwriting capability, but Ja is lyrically better.

In retrospect, I think Ja won.

Ja rule and Ashanti came on the radio - my girl sang along and said she loved it. In 2024.

I love Eminem.

But that whole 50, Em, Dre trio vs Ja Rule - now it comes off as that trio were a bunch of bullies - trying to bully their way into Pop while they were more street. And Ja Rule collaborated with the beautiful and great Ashanti which resulted in factual classic hit radio records.

I did not like Ja or Puffy - but both their music had way more long term radio play than Aftermath.

You are lying to yourself if you dont think Ja's music aged better :francis:

Just look at the comments

Word. I believe He's music aged way better than 50s.

Although 50's street loosies still have lasting power. (Side note I think get Rich or die is overrated and Massacre is way better)
