Get It How You Get It
Maybe you should read some other stuff on BAR too to snap you out of your right-wing bullshyt

So we should team up with klan supporters and segregationist because they have the money? How is that pro-black again?
let's keep this simple, you're wrong. dems are better on the issues affecting black people than repubs are.
there are more black dem legislators because the repubs aren't interested in addressing issues important to black people in their platform. the republican party is built on maintaining the white status quo and white power structure.
speaking from first hand experience black legislators in my state have done far more to improve quality of life and opportunities for black people. fact. could more be done? absolutely. would black people have even more economic and political power if we were committed to the process and voted in larger numbers consistently? of course.
if you think switching to republicans is the quickest way to get there you're wrong again. they've shown time and time again they will shut us out through voter suppression, gerrymandering, and redistricting.
there is a distinct difference between the two when it comes to black issues. you haven't provided any facts, info, ideas or examples supported by the reality we live in to the contrary.
when it comes to political representation the quickest and most effective way for black people to increase our power is by consistently voting in larger numbers where we already have inroads.
And that is more likely to happen by voting for leftist candidates. Republicans push forward policies that explicitly work against such interests.no im saying we need to get money so that we can control "klan supporters and segregationists" in both political parties

Of course it has to do with who we vote for. You've been spewing this stuff forever, but it's all talk with nothing concrete. Economic success is not just a matter of thinking "let's get money." You need to have the opportunities and the expertise. If who you vote for has nothing to do with money then billionaires would not be spending so much time trying to effect elections.money and power has nothing to do with who we vote for, it has everything to do with how we think and how we organize ourselves
we need to change the way we think and the way we look at the world
Wait, so that isn't the motto of Bill Clinton and the New Democratsno im saying we need to get money so that we can control "klan supporters and segregationists" in both political parties

This is a chicken-egg situation, but I honestly don't believe Republican politicians are promoting these anti-black policies due to some guttural hatred of black people, I think they're doing it because it's politically feasible. They know that no matter what they do, they'll never get a meaningful portion of the black vote, so they don't even try. We saw it in the Democratic Primary and we're seeing it in the general. The black vote is unyieldingly tied to the Democratic establishment. There is next to nothing a Democratic establishment politician could do that would stop the black community from supporting them. Bill Clinton eviscerated welfare, signed into law the modern Jim Crow, fukked over the black community economically with NAFTA, and is still treated like a God in the black communityif you think switching to republicans is the quickest way to get there you're wrong again. they've shown time and time again they will shut us out through voter suppression, gerrymandering, and redistricting.
This may all be true but voting lockstep D is not smart. If they are taking our vote for granted then we are essentially just along for the ride. Do you respect someone who is totally dependant and is unable to survive without support from a stable figure? We call people like that children. Right now lockstep D voters are just children on the D school bus being taken wherever the driver wants to go. They might turn on the AC or radio if enough of us complain about the temperature or the station but they have no interest in changing course. Some token black people in the party structure doesn't really change what the money masters who are funding down ticket campaigns want to do. The platform !=the reality of what the party wants to let alone can actually get done. All progress comes through struggle and most lasting changes are incremental so I would prefer to see more third party participation of black people as well as more republican participation because I believe it is HEALTHY to have a plethora of options AND to keep the money guys behind D leadership on their toes.let's keep this simple, you're wrong. dems are better on the issues affecting black people than repubs are.
